you want the real anwser back a couple hundred years ago the brits sent prisoners there thats why
I like australians the one's i have met have been really friendly and down to earth
They sent people there that comitted small crimes that weren't enough for real imprisonment or execution, they didn't exactly send mass murderers there.Quote:

Thats the great lie that is still pushed to pervert the real history,The "convicts" were mainly Irish with a few Scots and Welsh thrown in,Do you really believe that the English at ENORMOUS expense would send (this is the nonsense we are taught at school)Men and women who had stolen a loaf of bread all the way to Australia? No these people had had their land stolen off them by the militarily superior English, these were the people the English chased off in Northern Ireland, the ones still in N Ireland fighting the English still (IRA etc)weren't as persisent in turning back up to reclaim/resettle their land so they shipped them out here which was (and still is ) the end of the Earth, with little or back then more accurately NO CHANCE of finding their way back to rightfully RE-CLAIM their land.Quote:

Listen to that broadcast, and you wil realise that Aussies gov't is just as bad as any other.
No.... some people were people that had their land taken, and looking after someone on a ship for 6 months is cheaper than looking after them in prison for 20 years. So, your argument doesn't stand up, especially when they could also put people in prison if they didn't want them to reclaim their land if they wanted.Quote:

waitafrigginsecond! the australian accent is like the english accent?! WTF!? have you ever heard a brit or an aussie speak?! for a start northern english accents are completely different to southern english accents, and also, aussie accents are nothing like either! it's just that a lot of yanks aren't good with accents!
Hey, hey, look at my location... Kent. I can tell the difference, but the Australian accent is similar to a South England accent, I know it's not the same, but you can see similarities. My point was, it's far more English than Irish.Quote:
