homemde sheet metal bent into a reflector
you might want to look into a good exhaust fan. if that doesn't work maybe a reflector with air cooling.

ok. here is an update. i replanted the plants (all but one that was in the biggest pot) two days ago. i was sick as a dog yesterday so i didn't post. sorry. i was throwing up and sleeping all day! anyhow, i used 8" pots, i used miracle grow potting soil and perlite. i made a 3:1 mix, respectively. the roots looked white and healthy. i think they definitely were ready to move on up.
they got waterd/fed with mg and superthirve.
i'll post pics for all this stuff and re-update right after this
pic 1 - superthrive, obviously, small bottle, 2 oz i think?
pic 2- 8" pot with quarter inside.
pic 3 - 8" pot with superthrive outside.
pic 4 - perlite
pic 5 - potting soil
to be continued....

sweetness luckily you know since you live in tx its been cool so i keep my windo open and it keeps the temps down around 85 84 which aint bad
so today, i get up feeling immensely better than yesterday. i was thinking about the plants being pretty small (my area is not big mind you) and some advice (lolagal) convinced me to let the plants veg while i'm gone for the next month. so i am.....but i decided to LST them.
i'm not sure if it's how the pros do it, but it's how i'm doing it. i grabbed some landscaping wire from lowes along with pots (wal-mart actually), soil, perlite, superthrive and super bloom (no relation).
so i bent the plants over and used the wire to make them stay and then used a horseshoe-shaped piece to pin the tops down. we'll see what happens i guess. i'll post some pics. i have some of the stuff i bought too, so the LST ones might follow....
pic 1 - landscaping wire
pic 2 - super bloom by green light, 12-55-6, .10% chleated iron
pic 3 - one of the plants in new pot

you bent them bad girls hardcore you need to train them before you get them that far over lol
Shake IMO let the girls veg and get a little bigger before LST. They aren't real big yet and strain may be too much for your brother to handle by himself with no experience while you're gone. I think that was a run on sentence!
I never tried LST but I read you sorta bend the tip gradually with a piece of hemp string or something. You want quality right? Patience weedhopper.......
lola, i agree that they may be a little small. but the space i am working with is not that big. it's like 27 1/2 tall, 20 wide, and 16 deep or something. so i can let them get too big and unruly.
smoke, from everything i've read you can just bend them right over. i've seen people just use their fingernail and kinda cut the stalk and bend it over, practically breaking it. these bent over fine. just make sure you water at least one hour before, preferrably the day before.
if they have problems i'll let them up. i appreciate the concern and heed the advice. and thank you very much for following along, i hope both of you continue to!
