Hey, welcome back Mrs. G! I was banned for MOM talk (oops...lol didn't realize what i was doin at the time) about 6 months ago, and not being able to access this site for a week was hard, i must say!
How are things?
Should I even be asking what "MOM" talk is?

yup. Gimme a sec.
Welcome back. . .:giveflower:
Thank you FV:)
Day 6 for my single rooted clone, hereinafter referred to as Rochelle. She's looking good. Very perky, ready for action. It's a huge relief just knowing from the start that she's, well, a she. I'm going to have to break the updates down into two parts. I have more pics yet to take, and since I'm having problems, I have questions etc. For now, here's pics of my clones.
OH yeah, I'm doing the shotglass grow, so pics of my shot candidate are on that thread.
That's all for now. More to follow.:hippy:
very nice mrs. green! looking good.
i'm thinking about cutting down a goddess tree tonite; if you're interested... :D
edit: you should make a mom...
seems lots of people are getting new dots...Quote:

Okay, I had some yellowing leaves, so I gave the ladies a light dose of veg ferts for one feeding. Then, I decided to quit being such a slacker, and test my runoff. My soil was reading 6.8 and 6.9. My tap water was reading 8.0. My runoff was reading 8.0! So, using lemon juice for lack of a better product, I pHed my water down to 6.8, and flushed Lily with 12 gallons. She tanked within hours. I'm afraid she's not going to make it.
I didn't flush Pat, but she did get watered with the pHed water. She doesn't look as bad as Lily, but she's not looking real hot either.
Here's the kicker. My soil readings are still 6.8-6.9
So I bought a different pH kit. Taking a reading from the original kit, and one from the new one, I get two different results from my runoff. One says it's high, in the 8 range. The other says it's low, in the 5 range.
I am about ready to blow. I swear, when I was just giving them plain tap water, and only using my metered probe to test soil only, they were doing fine. Now they are the travesties you see here.
I'll be posting this in plant problems too. And I swear if that one mod comes in there and scolds me like these fucking plants are the Holy Grail, and I'm abusing the Baby Jesus, I'll quit and take my entertaining erudite self somewhere else.
I'm frustrated.:(

Wow, Mrs GJ I just checked in to this thread....so sorry about your plants! Wish I could offer something useful but no.....
Lots of luck...I will check back and hopefully see that they are better. :(
Thanks Weedhound. I appreciate your kind words.
Hello again ,
I read your whole log why you were away. Dont leave this place I just met you lol!
Looks like your plants are showing various deficiencies ms. greenjeans from nutrient lockout from the ph mishap. One question when you flushed her with tap water was it distilled (the 13 gallons)? Because the clorine in the water could have made her symtoms worse. From the one side view picture of lily she really dont look too bad , at least I dont think she's gonna die she'll probally be in shock for a week or so but I think she'll pull though it. Hmm lemon juice isnt so good it might have caused a sudden change in the ph , plus it dosent buffer very long. I wouldnt use it because id be afraid I would lower my ph too much with it. Has your tap only recently been reading ph 8.0?
I would say just give her some time to recoup, give her a feeding of some bloom fert when she dries out , sing to her a little , and she should liven back up.
Another thing what is your feeding schedule ,the plants could be looking a little bad if there was a salt buildup. And when you water with straight water do you water until there is a decent amount of runoff? (to help get rid of excess salt buildup)
How far along are you in flower because some leaf yellowing is normal during flower ( as there isnt as much N in the soil the plant will use the N stored in its leaves as needed until the flowering death dance is finished) giving a plant to much N in flowering could set back the harvest time by a bit.
I am a lil rusty on growing so these questions/answers may be a lil off this is just my 2-cents. lol
ps. check out my grow log again ,its comming along nicely:

I'm moving them to the new house today. I don't have a room set up yet, but they need to be moved or I can't care for them properly. I'll have to put them in a makeshift area for now. It will still be better than their current setup.
edit: Root, I typed a reply to you, and it disappeared. I'm tired today.
Hey, Mrs. G. Good luck with your move. Hope everything goes well. Let us know asap, k? :)
So you're a r00tdoctor? Well, I'm the w00tdoctor! w000t! hehe
The Fog :rastasmoke
You're leaves are doing what mine did... people told me it was PH problems. I went out and bought a gallon of spring water now for that after flushing the soil out the last time. I thought the plant was just getting older and was taking energy from the leaves that no longer were as dear to its life. So I'm thinking maybe I too should throw some nutes at it...
You've got some good buds going thats for sure... you'll prob have a better turn out than me :(
KL I wouldn't count on my yield being decent at this point. Don't beat yourself up.
Fog, I've got it worked out to a certain extent. I'm going to put them in the attic for lights on, and in our bedroom closet for lights out. This will entail shuttling them down two flights of stairs, but eh, whatever works in a pinch.
That sounds like a pain in the butt.Quote:

Nice to see you back Mrs.Greenjeans. I think you are on the right track with starting with your ph. This may help you,*keeps fingers crossed*.Revised: The Complete Guide To Sick Plants,pH and Pest Troubles - PlanetGanja.com I hope your girls make a quick rebound. Did I say it was good to see you back?? Good Luck.... Peace! :hippy:
TheGreenFog, lol I dunno if im a doctor but im trying to get my skills and greenthumb back.
Mrs. Greenjeans, Your babies need a home! Is the reason why ur taking them out the attic when lights out occurs because it gets too cold up there?
1) If so you could get one of those cheap space heaters unless your attic has got fire hazards up there.
2)Or u could make a sacrifice and turn your closet into a full time flower chamber and find another spot for your clothes
I dont think you will want to do #2 most girls love there closet space. (lol)
How are ur babies looking any worse???
I wish I had a attic. . .
Do you ever sleep FV? LOL!
I'm getting ready to update this, with pictures! But first, I'll answer the viewer mail.
Eric and Root..I'm putting them in the closet for lights out because I can't seal light out in the attic. It's an open space, and I haven't built any walls in it yet. I haven't posted everything about my house, but we signed on it Feb.23, and we still haven't moved into the damn thing because of various issues, so I haven't been able to build my flower room.
Thanks Markassssssss...if you really want to make me feel better, send me a picture of your armpit.
Uncle E...Thank you for the link my friend. It will come in right handy. And thanks, it's good to be back among knowledgeable friends and well wishers.
Root again...I haven't had clothes in my closet since I started growing lol! They're all in a chair at the foot of my bed. I like clothes, but I seldom wear them, so giving up a closet isn't a big deal to me. That's why god made Rubbermaid totes.;)
Hay it's only 2am now, plus Planes, Trains, and Automobiles just cam on...
Edit: Ha, just realized I open tomorrow. . .
I am so freaking tired I can't believe I'm awake updating this.:stoned:
Soooo, I triple bagged my girls in 30 gallon black lawn and leaf bags, put them in the tall boxes you can buy for dishes at storage rental places, and shuttled them over to the new house during their dark cycle, as per Miss Foxy's instructions. Once there, I got their new area set up. It's in the attic, which has a big exhaust fan (score!), but no partitioning, so they are just sort of out there in the open. When I pulled the bag off of Lily, I saw a WEB!!!!
Now, I go over these fracking plants every damn day with a 30x microscope. I know what spider mites look like, and I'm telling you these plants didn't have a thing on them. I don't know where that godforsaken web came from. Nevertheless, into the shower they went. I flushed them both, and then I took the shower head off the wall (it's on one of those flexy hoses) and I totally doused both those girls in water, front, back, top, bottom and sides. They hate me now. Then I shook the excess water from their leaves, put them in front of the fan to dry a bit, and ensconced them in their new home, where they will probably remain until the end of flowering. Problem is, I am not living in that home yet, and I am a nervous wreck that my plants are there, and I'm here. I'll go back tomorrow for lights out to put them in the bedroom closet, where I can seal off light.
Okay, enough neurotic typing. Picture pages!
I am a picture snapping fool.
Last of the pics
Is that ok for the walls? I though it bends light to cause burns, or even eats the light. . . I read it somewhere so I don't really know much about it. . .
It's mylar. Got it at Wally World wooooooooooot!
I think i would honestly kill for a home with an attic. . .
You either have to get a mortgage, or move to an older neighborhood. I did both.;)
The only way I can own a home here is with $600,000+ cash. I'm 21 with no credit, I've been renting on my own going on five years now, and as long as I live in my area I am stuck doing so. . . It's a tuff town to walk away from. . .
Get some roommates and rent a big old house. That could be fun!
Tried the roommate thing, I'm kinda a self sufficient person, plus I don't want to have to count on other people to make my rent. . .haha, altough I know a guy who is doing the sellers in a grow house, and that seems to be going good for them. . .
