How long did you put in paper bags before you put them in jars?
I meant to post in your thread earlier but am only on my first grow and would have been more hindrance than help ,lol

Probably need to cure it in the bags a little longer before putting in the jars.
Down here in humidity central I lay my harvest out on a screen and let it sit for two weeks before putting in bags or jars. Better safe than sorry, mold can pop up real quick if seal up to early.

Just check it constantly, the oils migrate back out to the tips of the calyx after it sits in a jar for a month.

Don't you love harvest time!, try citrus peels if it gets too dried out. My harvest is still going, only now it is strictly flowers shooting out everywhere that I nipped branches from. I'm not sure how to dry them, they're too small to hang b/c they are basically resin/flower balls.
I threw them on a plate with an indirect fan. Then I transfer to jars after a day or 2. I just don't like leaving on a plate b/c they get flat even when turned.

What I do if it feels like it's drying to fast is to go ahead and put them in jars and keep it sealed for 24 hrs. That should draw the moisture out from the center of the buds. May take a little longer to cure properly, but it will help from the drying to fast.
Well Italiano, thats what i did. But everyday i gotta leave the lids off, because over night it gets pretty moist. I put the lid on over night, then its getting to moist. So, im doing lid on, lid off each day. The stuff was bone dry going in the jar, but after one night it gets to moist. So il do this awhile till i can leave the lids on for longer periods of time till there done:thumbsup::rasta:Quote:

I lost 4 oz of two strains my first time curing. Thought it was ready to be sealed up and came back to check on it a few days later and had to throw it out. It was the top cola's too and I had to wait another week to have some smokeable weed.

Im working on an indoor grow soon. I need a few more lights and someone to help me wire everything together. Im thinking two plants with one for a mother plant. Well if you grow in the bathroom, usually there is a outtake fan in the ceiling for when you do-the-do. LOL That would work to an extent I would think to draw the hot air out. An oscillating fan should be good to circulate that air in the bathroom.Quote:

i used cheap on extension cords that i chopped the end off. like $.90 at wal-mart. i run like 9 or so bulbs on each one with no problems. i'll be hanging around too!

Hey Shake i saw how ya got your lights set up:thumbsup:. I was thinking of making a model of what you have, but then i found what im growing in. Im not sure they will fit. A guess would be about 2' x 2' x 4'. I was thinking of putting my 65W - 2700 Lumen light at the top of this shelf, then iv been buying these 23W-1750 Lumen per 2 pack. I have 4 and after i get two more i thought about germing a few seeds. I will get a pic of this thing, but im thinking i can only grow two plants in it. When i saw it, i flipped out, cuz i think this shelf will work out perfect. I was thinking of just hanging the cfl's to the bottom shelf and an equal amount to the top shelf. So, it would be 6-23W CFL's and the 65W at the very top. This thing is small but roomier. I can always add more CFL's.Quote:

- Screw the other 2 hooks into the top of your grow box/cabinet/whatever
- If you can't find a cord with the white, black, and green wires on one end, cut off the female end of the cord, and connect the wires from the light fixture to the corresponding wires in the cord (white to white, black to black, green to green)
- Connect the chains to the hooks
You now have a light fixture that you can move up and down as your plants grow

The shelf im using might not let me go tha way bease i have a 65W cfl that im putting at the top of this shelf i got that was used at B&N to shelve books. Its got a top shelf that im mounting the 65w on. Under that are 2 selves for a plant on each side, under each other. So its small. But it might help organize the cfl's tho. Id like to see your set up, if ya dont mind posting it on here. :thumbsup:

I made my first CFL fixture back in the day with cardboard and pigtail shoplight fixtures. Just pulled the reflector and clamp off. Could change up the light configuration easily by adding more pigtails or splitters. Pretty cheap lighting setup and had pretty good results with it. Pictures should tell the tale pretty well. You will probably want to harvest sooner, next time. The longer you wait to harvest, the more couch-lock the effect (i.e. the more amber trichomes develop). I like to harvest when there are very few amber trichs, cuz I like the cerebral high more than couch-lock. I lose a bit of yield by harvesting that early, but it's the high I want, and always have more growing, so quantity isn't much of an issue.Quote:

I was on 2 meds that made my kidneys shut down and almost bleed out, but im cool now, just need to heal up. Seven days in there help me quit the cigs tho. $140.00 A MONTH WILL BUY A BUNCH OF LIGHTS!:thumbsup: and a few other supply's. So, il heal for a week and try and get started. Il have my daughter get a pic of the shelf im thinking might work as a grow box. I will prolly just hang out here all week and read. Way to much cash for me and they killed my mom in Dec., so its an important thing for me. Plus i can think of other smokable stuff id rather use my money to grow:thumbsup:

Its in jars now and each jar taste a bit different. I treated all the jars the same?
It all will lock ya to the couch, but wish id had been able to harvest some with an up buzz:thumbsup::hippy:
It should smooth out the more it cures. Could be from using synthetic fertilizers. Also some strains are just harsh, if its couch lock it might be leaning towards an Afghani type strain.
Do the ends of the joints get gummy with resin?

Its all been in jars for a long time. It could be the ferts tho, as it was cheep 15-30-15 and someone earlier into growing i was warned that it would taste bad. I do smoke from all the jars too, but its been in jars over a month and a half.
The sak i grew from wasnt good weed at all. It was Mexican, so ya know not a lot of luv went into it. That stuff is mass grown with little care and plenty of seeds. But thats all i had and i really cant complain about potency for sure. I found 2 seeds in it and was thinking about growing it this summer. Two males i killed found away to create 2 seeds. I find this amazing, as to thrive to keep its self from extinction. Man i luv to grow. Its an amazing plant:thumbsup: Im asking everyone why they dont grow. Paying a dealer is just crazy:wtf:
