Had to tie them up to keep the branches from breaking under the weight of the buds. :wtf:
For those who havent tried them, my babies were grown under CFLs and when in flower CFLs and Flouros. The results speak for themselves.

IR,
Quick question about pruning. My plants are about 5 weeks into flowering. Got some long stringy lower branches that are producing small flowers. Doesn't look like they'll amount to much. Will it cause much stress to the plants now to prune some of these branches ?
pruning those shouldn't matter much, it's the big fan leaves that really count ... but, snip a few at a time, give a day's rest between clips, just to play it safe ... I'm not a fan of 'lollypopping', etc., but I always see some growers getting away with it ... some strains won't put up with that sort of thing, I guess ... happy gardening, good to see you again :jointsmile:Quote:

i will be adding both NCDG and the NCSG to my stable as soon as they are available!!!
happy new year to me!

Awsome news, IR...
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you here.
My goodness that is a beautiful plant, nicely done!!!!
Just a quick note on potency. I posted ealier that I pruned off some stringy branches that has small puny flowers. Well I dried off those branches and rolled up some of the dried flowers. Not much. Were mostly pistils with just a few small leaves. Made about a 1/8'' dia joint . Were talking about 3 tokes. Well a creeper stone hit me I couldn't believe. I'm almost frightened to smoke the maturing plants. Since I've pruned and added a bit of 9-44-15 fert. the flowers have really thickened up . Getting stinky too .Though this strain is advertised as not smelling at all - that's not true.
Seems these modern strains are bred to be one hit wonders.
congrats, antman, you were due for some good news  ... glad you had some positive results, now you can start building up your stash :)
Antman.... welcome to the world of really good weed. There are a very few of us on here that do know the difference, and only do top quality. BTW... be very careful with the mature bud.... all you need it a piece about the size of a pea in a waterpipe. Yes, it takes 10 or 15 minutes for NCDG to "soak in", and its well worth the wait.
I don't recommend doing more than 2 hits at a time tho.... lest you have to turn off the TV and the puter cause there are too many colors. :D
same could be said for your 'Toxic Blue' ... I did a small taster this morning, for a wake & bake ... yeah, we did :stoned: ... more body effect than the NCDG, and plenty of head-high ... my compliments
did some research, that 'Toxic Blue' is/was a Motarebel strain, I knew I had heard of it, somewhere  ... worth noting, some of the same genetics for the 'Toxic Blue', was likely in the male P1, of my 'NorCal Daddy's Girl' ... kissing cousins
Mississipi Steve ,
Got to correct you . I was posting about the potency of some G13xbuddha I've got growing . Plants are in about 7 weeks flowering. Going to go with another light fertilizer sol'n of 9-44-15 tomorrow.
But your recommendation of a pea sized bit is about right. Even less maybe.
lets keep it NCDG.. been hearing bout your g13 x buddah for a year it seems antman
I'm curious how NCDG does with heavy LST:stoned:
this is how xcrispi controls his girls :D ... so far, she doesn't seem too suited for outdoor growing, (stems too slender to support the weight of the colas) ... notice how little manicuring will be needed, though :thumbsup:Quote:

She does look easy to manicure though!:stoned:
ahhh, if you're asking, regarding height issues, under a 400-watt HPS, I would look for about 5' of actual plant height (or, a 7' ceiling, to stay under) ... hope that helps
I keep mine tied down to about 3 1/2 - 4 feet, then as the buds mature, I have to tie them up to keep from breaking branches. :rastasmoke:
thanks for the looking out, Whoodi, but it's OK  ... I have no problem with antman posting his other plants here ... antman had really bad luck, starting his NCDG seeds, and was gentleman enough not to badmouth me, etc., and I appreciate him, for that ... both you guys are in my good favor, and very welcome to post your asses off, here :D ... have fun ! :thumbsup:Quote:

Sent off most of my last harvest to a friend. Just kept two buds.
looks like you did a real nice job with those, antman  ... very nice, healthy plants, for sure ... I will be testing my new seeds any day now, I'll update when they're ready for packaging ... keep up the good gardening :D
IR, are you referring to the NCDG? or is it the NCSG? (right?) so it should be ready soon then? i've got to get my funds straight!Quote:

right, i gotcha IR. i was wondering which seeds you are waiting for to test, package, etc. that's all.

OK, well, my pride and joy (NorCal Daddy's Girl) will be F2 seeds, from my original stock, and will be released as such ... the NCDG P1s (parents) have been in my garden so long, they don't need further testing ... a typical F2 will have variations, but since the P1s are related, I am suspecting the variations wont be major ... definitely gonna be some badass breeding stock in there, to choose the traits you like  ... the Sour Girls have been grown out, and impressed us all, so those will be tested for germination, and packaged, hopefully soon ... since the forest fires wiped me out, I had no place to grow this past year ... so, a couple trusted friends have grown some 'seeders' out for me, using my seeds, and methods :) ... one garden was lost to frollicking animals :wtf:, and another got blown down by high winds :wtf: ... been a tough year :D ... one thing I learned, the NCDG is not well suited to outdoor growing, without a lot of tying up ... they simply grow buds too heavily for their stems to support ... (:D think of a Barbie doll, with those big boobs, and skinnyass legs :D) but, a couple finished well, and are being sent to me, any day now ... so, we wait :D ... and, we get by, 'with a little help from my friends' ... I have some VERY WONDERFUL friends, too
I'll post updates to the situation here, as soon as I have them in my grubby little hands :D
I'll keep this in mind once I get to where I can get started over again. thos buds are fat fuckers that's for sure!!! :D
let us know IR, as i will be adding them both to my stock!

Here's some fat NCDG buds for you :DQuote:

Hey IR,
Has the testing started yet?
Any idea what the prices will be when available?
Last I heard from him, he was waiting on the seeds to be delivered, so he could test them and make sure they were gonna germinate. I figure it will prolly be a couple of weeks yet before the seeds are proofed.Quote:

'supposedly', I have my newer strain ('Sour Girl', for lack of a better name) coming in this month ... but, at this point, I can't depend on anything, anymore ... it's starting to look like 'NorCal Daddy's Girl', will join the extinct ranks of 'Acapulco Gold', 'Columbian Gold', and 'Panama Red' :( ... I knew she could be 'legendary', but I sure didn't plan on it happening so soon :S2: ... (as the Terminator would say, " I'll be back " ) :D
That's terrible news IR. I hope you grabbed an umbrella for all that rain. :wtf: I'm hoping your 'Sour Girl' comes through and is available.Quote:

I'm :stoned: and my mind wonders. :)
sorry to hear about all the rain IR. keep in mind though that you've got to have rain to get a rainbow! it'll get better.

To antman: I'm sorry i came across as 'on your case' or having a problem with you... I'm jsut a huge NCDG fan and everytime this thread is updated i get excited to see if it's any NCDG news.. and for a while it was your other grows that were being updated. Long as image reaper doesn't care then it's all good! Sorry you had bad luck first round with your NCDG, antman.
Image reaper: I hate that you're going through a lot of hard times.. stay positive and keep working those NCDG's! I have 2-3 original seeds left and a great mother plant from the originals.. so if there's anything I can do.. let me know and ill do my best.
Hey dude. I gave the ncdg seeds a go too. Just didn't get any females.
So I had to get some seeds fast locally. Now i've got two mason jars full of dried bud from this G13 cross.
Too bad about the seed loss for IR. Someone must be hip to the shipments to HD .
Hey dudes ,
Any opinions on Afghani Gold ? Just picked up some seeds and will give them a go .
