So I've harvested 2/8 plants so far.
93.9g and 106.9g is what I've got so far wet. How much % weight does wet weed lose? Is it 75%?
My girlfriend is happily trimming and pruning and manicuring away, she seems to have found the way she can help me in my grows haha :dance:
We have a lot of hash trim so far, now I'm looking for a way to make hash out of a coffee grinder and lots of ice?
I went to a party last night and shared some stories about growing mmj with a random guy I met. We shared a bowl from my bubbler and my own grow (feels awesome to smoke what you grow) then he packed a little wooden pipe with hash from his own grow.
That was a fun night haha.

So my third plant had 96.5g in it and my fourth plant had 178.5g wet! Wow that one was in the back, maybe the back ones will be bigger? Hmm that gets me thinking about lighting and such.
I'm looking for general % weight loss between wet and dry, anyone know?
EDIT: I forgot to mention, when I first put the buds onto my scale, it said ERROR. Lol, I had to divide it in half and then add them because my scale maxes at 150g :D

ok, im no expert but, from what ive read all over , yeah, % loss wet to dry, but im thinkin ur 85 may be high. maybe 55-75%, prolly also depends on how much lumber on the scale.
either way, its lookin like ur around 1.5 z or better per plant, wow man, just wow, i'm real happy for u!!!!
Here is a couple pictures. The first one is my most un-trained plant. She's that way because she is in the back, so I didn't like to train her too much. Plus, she had room to grow :thumbsup: You can see that plant in front of her is the hermie. She/He has flowers literally on the stem haha
The second is a picture of my hash trim so far. I only put stems w/ trichomes and leaves with trichomes in it; I think it will make a good amount of hash :jointsmile:
So, the wet weight for my Arctic Sun in total is 735.9g from 6 plants. I am going to go help my gf prune the Atomic Haze. Prepare for disappointing news though I bet the hermie's gonna be light :(

Looks like the fun begins soon when you decide if you're gonna cook with any of the trim. Cannabutter is a great thing to make if you are not afraid of the kitchen. Here try some of mine I have in the freezer:

Also, rule of thumb for me is that dry weight is almost always spot on at 25% of wet weight. So given your numbers, you should have 6.5 +/- oz of Sun. Good job amigo!

Yep I agree with MVp.....I've found 25% of wet weight to be pretty close to the actual dry weight in my extensive studies of the subject.
I also LOVE his freezer and want to come over for a meal of.....butter. :D

So I took one hit from my bong...and I am hacking away like it's the first time I've ever smoked! I don't know what it is; the taste is amazing and this shit (Arctic Sun) hits you fast and builds up. Then you get MAJOR couchlock. The smoke, coming through my bong, is as tasty and thick as it is from a blunt. Maybe because the weed was very dry. Anyways, let's just say I wasn't expecting that when I smoked and went to work 45 minutes later. Oh well, I smoked with my manager earlier this week so I'm sure he'll understand :thumbsup:
I (read: girlfriend) have made cannabutter many a time for brownies, crusts in pies, cookies, cakes etc. We usually grind up our shake but we actually have trim now! It's awesome lol. I'm still yet to find a good hash making tutorial :(
So, I felt that shit up until around 8:00 p.m. and I smoked it around 2:30! Daayum :) I like me this Arctic Sun.
So total I got 1039.7g. Hopefully I will get 9oz :) Next time I will push for 10.
My atomic haze in the back weighed 196g! Damn that's a big girl. I should have taken pictures of the roots lool, sooo thick on her.

i cant take credit for this, its from the cannabible 3. shabud from cannabis world "discovered" the technique.
Required Tools:
-55 gal drum (huge trash can)
-electric drill with paint-mixer attachment
-polyester shower curtain (stretch it apart and look at light through it) you should be able to see through it, holes and shit
-plastic trash bag
-frozen trim
1.place the trash bag in the can
2.put shower curtain in bag, leaving about half an inch space
3.pour in the trim (bout a lb or 2...heh, that rhymed)
4.rapidly mix with the drill and mixer attachment
5.NO WATER OR ICE!!!
i go about 90 sec...longer gets you more, but more of less quality.....
this stuff isnt quite as pure as water hash, but cheaper to make and the differance isnt really noticable. you will basically throw out a bunch of kief 10-15 grams per lb o decent trim. none of the terpenes wash out, so the taste will be much better than bubblehash

I just picked a small bud from one of the trays and the stem didn't snap completely but there was a definite breaking point and it started to come apart. Is that considered dry enough to put the bud in the jars to cure?

Those buds look amazing. I hope my batch turns out as nice.
I wouldn't start curing yet, things may get moldy. You want just a slight bit of moisture, but I think the stems should still snap pretty nice before curing.
Yeah I like stuff to be pretty dry before curing. Once cured it will lose the harsh taste and fresh mown grass smell. That's when it TRULY done. (not that it cant be enjoyed BEFORE then....:D)
Wait until they snap and you will be happier in the long run. If you get impatient and charge into curing, you risk running into mold issues, as well as lengthening the curing time since there will be more OVERALL moisture in the jars... :twocents:
and if you hapen to let them overdry, stick a piece o lettuce in the mason jar... lps when you buy brittle herb too......im sure you guys know all this, just my pennies.......

Yeah, lettuce or celery or something similar. For extra flavor experiment with adding a lime slice or any other wet fruity thing.
I got the opportunity to test out CM's crop and it is honestly some of the best bud that I have ever had the pleasure of tokin.

So the end result was around 8 ounces. It might be more or less because I didn't weigh anything that I have smoked so far.
I have found a total of two seeds so far in my grow. I think there aren't many because I fucked up right at the end; like tripping across the finish line, you still win but you look like a dumbass.
