The biggest one is starting its 5 node....but it is still very small..say 3 inches high and its span 3 1/2 inches across. Like i said the first one popped on 4/23. As of now 4 have that dark color to them and do not appear to be growing. I have another that is on its 3 node but that one is starting to darken also. Ok i know it is no a total waste of time but there is one big problem...im not sure what happened so how do i fix my mistake for next time?? ive done the reasearch and even had someone helping me that has 3 grow under the belt...i just dont know what went wrong....please help.

Are you feeding it?
You should have started feeding it. When Knowm said not yet. I don't think he can see the pic's very well. Because you can see the 3rd true leaves have grown in the pic right before that.
If your plants are not growing and look like they are eating itself. Then it is starved. Is the stem purple. If it is, they need food.
You should start feeding them anyway. Once you do. They will grow out of any wierd growth paterns most likely.
Get some veg food. Organic is best. 20-20-20 is a good chemical nutrient level. They need nitrogen bad. Thats what makes them strong. And that what makes them grow.

So how much dosage should i use...i know not full one. That is what it looks like...like the color is getting sucked right outta them. The stems are not purple tho...

To dilute the ferts, make a full strength 1 gallon solution(as per directions), pour out half and replace with plain water, shake up, pour out half again and replace with plain water(to make a 25% dilution), that should be a low enough solution to start them on; when it's time of course. After they are done with that diluted gallon, mix up another and only pour out half and replace once(to make a half dilution). This may seem wastefull, but is easier than eyeballing whether you're using half a teaspoon or a 3rd or a quarter, plus when written down you can tweak this on future grows and set up a method of growing to eliminate certain descrepancies(namely over feeding, big problem for some people I hear), making your growing experience easier. You dont have to be OCD like me to expect performance from your plants, but by building a log, you can know what to expect before it happens.

I hope you are right jdog. but the soil he is using should provide plenty of fert for 2 months. a diluted feeding will definitley not hurt.
