why do you guys hate police officers?

Cops are leeches on society. For one, they don't even fight crime. That is, they don't try to root out the causes of crime in our society. They don't even try to analyze them. They just try to get revenge after the act has been done (and often can't even do that). If they are successful, the person who committed the act is trapped inside a cell for several years to mull over their hatred of the people who put them there, where everything they learn is from other criminals and where violence rules most social relationships, and this is somehow supposed to make the criminal less dangerous to society? We know that poverty, unemployment, and authoritarian child-rearing techniques are the major sources of crime, yet the "crime fighters" throw their arms up at these problems and call them unsolvable, and don't even bother with them, preferring instead to sit in their cars by the side of the road behind the bushes, whacking off or whatever they do while waiting for some speeder to go by.

I dislike cops because as a general rule they enforce the ideals of another person. I try to live my life by the "No harm no foul" rule, which means that I live my life the way i want, do what i want, and when i want SO LONG AS I do not harm, disturb, or negatively effect anyone else. And they are welcome do the same. Im harassed regularly by the same 2 cops and they are showing how badly they have wasted the cities tax dollars, our state is in a multi-million dollar deficit and yet they employ police to harass all us harmless cannabis users who mind our own business? They could be over in riverside preventing murders and keeping crack dealers off school grounds, but no, they would rather come to my house and give me a ticket for a noise "disturbance"

Cops are not bad people, I think of them as a necessary evil but i still dont like them. They enforce and impose an ideal way of life set by a central government, people who disagree with this please do me a favor; explain to me why it is that i (or anyone else for that matter) should be arrested for using marijuana or drugs in the privacy of my own home, I am not harming anyone and no one is endangered by my behavior. The law fights murder and hard crime - good, the law fights people driving under the influence - good, the law fights to tell us what we can put in our bodies - bad.

If u want it all in a nutshell - I just want to live my life my way while respecting others rights to live and be happy, but the law says that is wrong, thats why i hate cops.

ya i didn treally explain that ye were underage and we could ave just bought more but it was past 10.309 and all the shops r shut by ten 30 so we couldnt get no 1 2 get more 4 us daaamm still had my weed tho so it wasnt too bad

As if it wasn't enough justice for The Law to dispose of your Alcoholic Beverages, they also dispose of your Full Stops?...

ASBO is the "deterrent" of today in UK, and is aimed at Youths whom have had several run in's with the Law, I.E for causing Persistent Nuisance to Residents on Housing Estates. They issued these "persistent offenders" with an ASBO (Anti Social Behaviour Order), which may have restrictions such as House Arrest after a Certain Time, Not allowed in Area where they caused nuisance!......

...Intially, these ASBO's appeared to be dished out Few and Far Between and Figures showed they Helped Offenders for the good of society. Now though is a different matter. They are thrown around nowadays like there is no tommorow and doesn't tackle the root of the problem!

But in England, IF I'm honest......"Where the Fuck do you start?", "How can the Government curb the Binge Drinking Phenomenom?", "How can they stop someone getting on a bus and stabbing someone to death?".....

...One Answer......THEY CAN'T...ITS A NEVER ENDING BATTLE!!

I HATE that they put their lives on the line everyday for the sake of my safety.
I hate that they as a team make this a safer and better place to live in and to raise my kids in.
I hate that a cop in my town got killed last year but managed to shoot the guy as he ran so that he couldnt continue with his planned killing spree.
I hate that we are a safer community because of his bravery.
I hate that I was saved from abduction as a child due to police reaction.
I hate that the guy who killed my father was caught by the police and brought to justice.
I hate that when my car was stolen they found it.
I hate that they keep drunk drivers from killing innocent people.
I hate when I was a punk teen a couple cops in my town were all over my ass everytime I left my house and didnt give me the room to get into worse trouble.
I hate that they warn us when a pedophile is on the loose while they track him down.

NO wait.....thats why I LOVE POLICE!
I just hate that sometimes they have to do shitty things to nice people because of a goverment mandate.

It takes every bugger else twice as long to make sense of it though.

I'm not particualry good with grammar or spelling but at least make an effort man, if nothing else its puts across the right image, something which is pretty important in this world.

I hate the police because two years ago I was at an anti war march in dc and They beat me and my friend. Neither of us were breaking any laws and we ha d a permit to be there. Had I been breaking the law I would be the first to addmit it because A.) I'm not ashamed of the actions I take if they are based on the beliefs I have and B.) no matter what I was doing short of harming someone else do they have the right to harm me. And I'm not talking about a few scratchs. I was hit in the head with a billy club and I blacked out. The tendons inside my ankle were ripped apart to the point where they said that there was nothing that could ever be done for them. Thankfully last year I went to a new doctor and he tried a surgery that was still pretty new and put a tendon from my foot into my ankle so that I can walk. The pain and bruising will never go away though. The city than had the balls to tell me that after they looked into it they found no misconduct on the part of the officers. I was the only person from out of all of the people they hurt that day that they insisted that I go to the ER. I was still in shock for about 5 hours after I got there. I scared the shit out of them when I told them that the only hospital I could go to was a military one. My dad was in the navy so going anywhere else causes lots of paper work and I knew my parents were already going to be angry at me and I didn't want to make it any worse. Funny thing is that 15 min. after I got there Jessica Lynch (the girl from WV who was all messed up) got there. The irony of that still amazes me. My friend who I was beaten with had the tendon behinde his knee torn. I don't remember what it's called but he couldn't walk for a long time. But yeah, thats why I hate the police and will never trust another pig for the rest of my life. I know some people go in with the best intentions about helping people and society but power corrupts. And for the few who may maintain their ideals the system destroys them because they're the only ones playing by the rules. I still go into panick attacks anytime I see a cop without expecting them to be there.
