Hijack this thread

Trying to seek relief from a bout with insomnia, I decided to snoop around the members list. If you check out the known mods ... look in on their statistics and notice their last log in date/post. :wtf: Although, there has been some really bad weather in areas our mods reside. Power outages, internet losses, snow up to the eyeballs etc.

Let us all hope this is the case and everything will be back to normal soon. :cool:

Yup, and they all build up on same principles.
Either its an extreme troll activity since the mods are away, or its all about mod selection/election.
I don't want to believe other possibilities.

And yes I was so stupid by trying to help those. I'm not doing it anymore.:sorry1:

Now what gets me is; This guy is still here! Where are the Mods?

We have some excellent Mods and usually they spot trouble before it gets out of hand. But the Mods seem to be nowhere to be found.
Another thing I have noticed is that a lot of other members arent coming around as often either. Atleast not logging in. Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but I have been mulling my suspicions around for the last couple of days. I dont want to seem overly paranoid, but I cant help wondering if something is up.
I used to moderate and admin a couple of websites/forums a few years ago, and in all of them I had access to every members ip addresses. Whenever we had an issue with a member, it was really easy to do an ip search to find that persons location and other info. Some sites listed their ip in their profile, and also showed "guest" ip's.
Other sites you could only see when the person in question was logged on.
However, it was easy for a member to dodge this by using "Hide my IP" or a proxy server. (Mozilla Firefox has an app called FoxyProxy that I use to hide my ip.) Incidently, hiding your online status in your profile page doesnt really hide you.

I looked at some other MJ forums and one inparticular has a "Sticky" about internet security relating to our hobby. I might be wrong, but I dont recall us having anything like that at all on this site. Good common sence is a general rule of thumb, but I think we need to have a security section with info on proxy servers, and do's and don'ts concerning webpage security.


It is a good habit to always consider the possibility of LEO logged into this site at any given time.
We are getting too many posts from too many people looking for a hookup. This is bad in two way's.
First it attracts LEO to our site, and Second it could actually be LEO. Ya just never know.

If someone is overly too friendly, and they are new to the site, I cant help but raise my suspicions.


Most members that only produce or consume small quantities for personal use are usually safe, as Leo aint gonna spend money to go after everyone. But anyone that speaks of growing larger quantities for resale might want to be careful, but I'm sure most of you all realize that.

My intentions are not by any means to scare people away, just be aware, and be careful. Especially since we are unsure of the mods whereabouts these days.

I've had posts removed for far less than what that creep is/was doing. Thanks for the FoxyProxy advise. Had no idea it was available. Just downloaded and waiting to restart. The only reason I haven't been posting lately is because I haven't had anything pertinent to say. But, since someone (you know who you are:D) asked me to post more often since they like Herby the Walking Leaf, or Tokey (he goes by either name) maybe I will. If I ever have anything important to say that is.

:blueknife: So just walked down to my bus, saw it pull up while I was still down the block.. Start running and yelling waving my arms like a idiot, bus drives away... Not another one till 12:42 for this particular destination.. supposed to meet my friend so I'm trying to call him now to tell him I am going to be running late.. fckn Nextell fucking up, keeps on giving me "please wait while we locate this customer" rings for a while, then back to "please wait while we locate this customer" then ringings again.. it should go to voicemail if he is say, in the subway, or even if he just doesn't answer... good start to my day grrrr

yeah he was in d subway.. but still lol, after the bus and Nextell acting up.. made mi think I should just go back to blood claat bed haha.. Time to smoke a lil meds while I wait on next bus :rastasmoke:

hehe nahh waiting inside for a while then going back to the bus stop.. still got an hour to go :mad: Got a big ol' bag of locks on my head, it's like a big bullseye for the LEO, soon as I do something wrong they jump out of helicopters and pop out of manholes and the such :rastasmoke:

Actually does work, my friend I'm going to see today pulled the very same stunt, they gave him a ticket for a false name and let him go LOL
