There are definitely amber trichomes. I had gotten one of those little Radio Shack scopes...which none of you guys happened to mention is a bear to get used to using, btw
Is this a common condition, this turning brown where the buds rub against one another? Or more likely a bug living in there?
Had trouble getting the camera to focus the way I thought it should. Here are several pics of the same bud. Tried to pull the buds apart enough to show where the brown parts are ...
...um... photos won't load. maybe tomorrow night, if I get to it earlier...
snip a very, very small bud leaf sample...and put it on a white paper plate for viewing...:thumbsup:Quote:

So maybe that IS what caused the brown bud?
Darn it, STILL can't upload pictures. I'll keep trying ... this is something new to me, so I think it's kinda interesting. Might be useful info for somebody else, too ...
Still can't upload photos to this thread, but got them into an album: bug damage? The order of the pics is backwards, too, but I've messed with it enough!
So anyways.... I wondered if this occurence with dense buds is common? Seems like you'd have to dig around in every cola, checking them for critters and nasties. I'm not crazy about the idea of bringing creepy crawlies into the house come harvest time, either! Damn stoned caterpillars............
hey there desert. was looking at your log, lookin very good. i dont know where ure from but if its been raining alot it could be bud rott.
one of my 5 outside got rained on very hard here in washington and i noticed the rott, let it go for about 3 days more, and didnt get very much bud. It took over almost my whole plant.
