I want to clarify a point made in the beginning of this thread. People have said NOT to use BREAD. But, if you toast a slice of bread before spreading the peanut butter on it, it works fine. Then, the surface of the bread is hard and won't absorb the pb.
Toast a slice of bread, remove from toaster, spread mjpb and then put in the oven. This worked fine for me. :thumbsup:
Did you grind and then mix your cannabis directly into your peanut butter? It allows for much better THC synthesis than if you just place or sprinkle ground-up cannabis on top of the pb...Quote:

So I decided earlier today I'm gonna try it again, this time following the original instructions to a T.
I used thin weat crackers. There big enough to hold the pb and bud, but very thin. I spread a nice coating on them, putting about .5 or .6 on them, evenly spreading the bud out on both. I squished it together, and put it in the microwave for 15 seconds. Immediately when it was done, I set it in the oven @ 320 for 22 minutes approximately. The instant it was done, I took it out and fastly removed the foil. (Careful, it burned my finger slightly. Foil can adapt to any temperature fast, so if you blow on it, it will get colder faster) Then I put it in the microwave again for 15 seconds. BTW, both time's I set my power level to 7, just to be safe. When I opened the microwave, I could hear the slight sizzling of the pb. I assume either it will fail completely, or I'll be fuckin baked. The crackers look a bit burned, but idk. It's about 2:45 pacific time now (-800) and I'm gonna eat them around 11:00 or 12:00 tonight. I'll post the time when I eat it, then when it hits me (hopefully). Oh and here's a pic of it, let me know if you think it's fried or not.

It actually looks darker than it is in the picture. It smells the same just as any other one I've made, but it very harder. I'll post later when I eat it.

wow i just made some firecrackers, all i can say so far is that they taste like shit! I've made brownies many times before with butter so im definitely not use to all the weed being in the food, fucking nasty! I just wanted to try this to see if it worked. I made two with about 1.5 grams of shwagg in each cracker. we'll see what happens in a little while.

obviously baking firecrackers, the concentration of bud per cracker is going to be a lot more noticeable compared to a brownie, for firecrakers we use about a gram of some beasters or a half gram of chronic per cracker. one does the job but 2 or 3 just about paralyzes me
Just tried making these for the first time. I have no idea how much I used I'm guessing around .7 (ground super fine) and some keif on two graham crackers with 25% total fat. The natural peanut better had 6% more fat than the nutella. The first one I made was really messy and I baked it separate from the second one. The second one was neater and probably has more in it. The first one I put in at 310° and baked it for 22 and a half minutes. The second at 310° and baked it for 23 and a half. I ate the first one around 5:30 and I'm starting to feel a little goofy. It actually tasted pretty damn good. I'm hoping everything works out, they're super easy to make. I'll let everyone know how it went.
i made some firecrackers for the wife while she was in hospital(didnt take pain meds, pain wasnt hurtful enough to justify meds). she wanted something to help comfort her and help her sleep. they worked wonderfully.
i only made these 3 times, evry time i get high as fuck and have a horrible taste from it.. the only thing i dont like,, and it seems to happen evry time is it gives me a bad pain in the stomach like (gut rot) i might try this again with the new weed lol, this shit can make u hallusinate so it should be the best ever.
Hey everybody, just wondering, after you cook them, like, microwave, oven, microwave again etc. do you have to eat them immediately for them to work? or does the THC stay in the fat if you store them, cause I'm thinking I'll make them and bring them with me to my friend's house the next day. Anybody know if this'll work?

Yeah you can store them. I keep a couple handy in the freezer :) Overnight I am sure is fine in a tupperware in the fridge or something.
i tried this yesterday. the original recipe, the one on the first page, used the microwave before and after, and i gotta say WOW! i was using regs so a joint worth was a little more, so it was more like 3 and a half firecrackers, but in just under 2 hours i was laughing out of control, like a mushroom trip for about 10 minutes, then it settled down into just an intense high and stayed that way for the next few hours, till it lulled me into the greatest nap I've taken in years. Oh, and when i woke up i still very high.

I ate these as my lunch after having nothing but a cup of coffee for breakfast, and they floored me. I was a little worried at first though, because i do have a very high tolerance, but then POW! towards the end it came in waves, and smoking a few hits here and there definitely helped re-intensify things.

Think I may have posted this in a different thread (but I can't find it anymore), that I've found the firecrackers taste 10,000% better if I don't use saltine crackers.
For some reason the saltines taste like shit when you add peanut butter & bake 'em. I've switched to Keebler "club" crackers and the result actually takes GOOD, just like peanut butter crackers.
I found using a mortar and pestel to grind the magic ingredient to a fine dust helps increase the kick (maybe even make it taste better). Only takes 30 seconds to do the grinding, and I got a mortar/pestel set at Walmart for under 2 bucks (in the household section).
Also, I didn't know about the steps here about microwaving first or being sure to wrap the firecrackers in foil, yet have had no problems just putting the crackers on a small baking sheet "naked" in the oven. The kick is great as is!
Try a gramcracker instead, You can put more PB and bud on a gramcracker.
I took one gramcracker, Broke it in half, spread smuckers all natural smooth on both sides and top about 3 grams of mid-grade.
The gram is sweet and moist without effecting the PB, Because you want the PB to become hard/dry.
I was baked out of this world, Firecrackers are good if you plan to go out and enjoy yourself.
It's a real active high, you just want to explore everything in sight...

After eating, wait 30 mins and eat a small fattie meal... drink a acidy drink like lime-aid or lemon-aid.
I followed this recipe to the exact details. I used Nutella and Ritz crackers even though Ritz weren't suggested, it was only because they're a little harder to handle but I've never had a problem in the past. Anyway, everything seemed to be going very smooth until I took them out of the oven to microwave them for the last 15 seconds, after the microwave the cracker was smoking badly, and it was very burnt, I'll follow up and let you know how it went.
So... 5 hours later I'm still buzzing from the firecracker. I don't think I'll microwave it after the oven anymore though, the weed inside the nutella was definitely charred, or maybe I'll let them sit out of the oven longer before microwaving. Good recipe, good times.

we never haver crackers - I use tortilla bread and just toast it up a touch before I spread the Nutella - I've found that a coffee mill on that buddage can really help the absorption by the fat.

This is the liquor of the cannabis plant - edibles. Eating haseesh or firecrackers is a jaw dropping experience. Smoking is compareable to beer in comparison.
I usually don't like to share my experience with others, but this firecrackers recipe had some amazing results! At one momemt i closed my eyes, and got the feeling of a horrifying rollercoaster. This, of course, is not a "good" result, but extreme it was..! It was a result of the surroundings not being that good. So if you're searching for a more "out there" experience when it comes to weed, this is the place to start. It's not as extreme as eating raw hasheesh, but more so than the regular smoking.
I used two "sheets" of graham crackers, and about .7 grams of weed sprinkled on organic PB (consisting of 50 % fat. 50 % of the fat was that mono type).
Trust this recipe, it works! Although, you should specify what the microwave power on 7 is. I now know 70% works, but maybe some other new people still are confused.

Protip: Never use Matzah crackers, way too airy and it will mess with the process. I used to always make firecrackers, and trust me: never use a microwave and never use a Matzah (they will taste even worse too!))

Let me start out by saying that I am just a regular guy - I'm not a chef, nor a cook, nor an MJ expert by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm a new Medical Marijuana cardholder, and haven't smoked regularly since I was a teenager (many years ago). I'm experimenting with edibles for the first time in my life.
I had already tried making cannabutter with limited success (not very strong - I'm sure I did something wrong).
I then found a recipe online using nothing more than Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix. Again, limited success (slightly stronger than what I made with the cannabutter).
Then I learned about Firecrackers. I found MANY different recipes/instructions. At first, I didn't understand why regular PB won't work as well as Natural PB (then I found out it was because even though regular PB has as much (or more) FAT than natural PB, they also have HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL - this raises the overall fat content, but not fat that can extract the THC as efficiently as good ol' fat-infused peanuts.
Put another way...regular PB will probably work if prepared properly, just not as effectively as natural PB.
So...I followed the instructions - Spread the PB (I used Ritz crackers), sprinkled the ground-up bud, spread the PB on cracker #2, slightly smushed them together, wrapped in foil nice and snug (I went with 320 degrees for precisely 22 minutes on a cookie sheet), let them cool. I used between .5g and .7g of GOOD mids for each one.
They looked exactly how they should have - the crackers were dark golden brown, and the PB/MJ mixture was roughly the consistency of the middle of an Oreo.
Since I had experienced less-than-stellar results with my earlier attempts, I had set my expectations low.
I ate 1 - it was about 90 minutes after eating a plate of pasta, so my stomach wasn't empty nor full (this can make or break your edible experience - it's best not to have these right after eating a huge meal).
About 45 minutes later, it was starting to hit me. Much quicker than the failed cannabutter and PB cookies. A half hour after that, I was WAY toasted. I enjoyed it for a while, then went to sleep. I got up about 6 hours later, and was still close to being wasted.
It's a known fact that nobody could smoke enough weed to "overdose". However, there is such a thing as "overindulging"...sort of like doing a beer bong, or shots of liquor, or whatever. The only difference is that overindulging in booze CAN kill you relatively easily; overindulging in weed (which is what happened to me) will just keep you groggy for several hours, and can cause headaches (I had a major headache all day long), as well as nausea (yep - you guessed it).
The bottom line is that this recipe WORKS if you follow the instructions properly. Keep in mind that all ovens are different, and from what I've read, you need to keep your oven temperature ABOVE 280 and BELOW 350.
I've read that microwaving these will help. I've also read that microwaving MJ will diminish or completely destroy the THC. The way I see it....why take the chance? These worked VERY well for me without nuking them.
Here's a hint on trying to judge just how much weed to use, especially if you're using smaller crackers (Ritz). Spread on the PB, sprinkle on your ganj a little heavier than you think you need, then simply pick up the cracker and gently tap the edge of it on a hard surface, and the extra will fall off; that way you know you are covering all of the PB surface, but not stacking it up too deeply. Don't bother putting MJ on the top cracker - it's not necessary.
The more PB you put on them, the more of a chance you take of a bunch of it running out while cooking (or getting squished out when you cover them with foil).
They do have an "acquired" taste, and they are rather dry. Got Milk?
Oh...and one more thing....there was absolutely NO NO NO MJ smell in my house after baking these. None. Nada. Zilch. Zero odor. I guess there could have been a trace smell, but the smell of the PB overpowers it.
When in the process of making these firecrackers, does it have a big noticeable smell? Please get back asap, I am trying to make these in the morning before school.
Oh and also will graham crackers work well with this?
There will be a slight odor of something unusual cooked but nothing like the smell that marijuana smoke leaves in a room or house. If you are making these before school start frying some bacon 10 minutes into the bake time of your firecrackers. This smell will wipe out any remnants of firecracker smell and would be a normal morning smell in the kitchen unless you are Jewish, Muslim, or vegetarian.

Well I took them out 25 minutes into the baking, they smelt really good, now i just have to wait to see if they work..
