Well, good luck, DaBuh. Life is a journey, so don't sweat the small setbacks. Some day that rusty-ass scissors story will be kind of funny. My dad used to beat the hell out of me every once in a while (a long time ago)...just last week he had his second hip replacement surgery. I could beat his ass into a pulp, if I so decide. Life's funny like that.

Just a quick update of Hardonna's sister Ginger Lynn...this is Day 11 of flower, after 46 days of veg...
Just of note: I had used Schultz rooting hormone when I repotted, btw, according to HD's repotting thread. I sprinkled it all over the root ball, then a bit in the new soil hole. It seemed like a smoother repotting, with less stress. Nothing scientific, but it SEEMED to be a better way to go.
She's getting hairs at her bud sites...
I'm cheering up...

Sorry.....Flowering Day 16 for Ginger Lynn. I gave her Schultz Cactus Juice 1-7-6 on Day 14 of flower. They continue with Superthrive and are drinking about 2 liters of bottled water every other day. She's flowering all over and seems pretty healthy.
BTW, no mail anywhere that I could find...to my Yahoo addy? Was it a nice email? I could sure use a nice email today...

Thanks, Clever...I have four girls left sharing a 400w HPS and eight CFL's. They seem pretty much on auto-pilot (well, unless HD gives me a project). I've tied some fan leaves, but the secondaries have all grown up out of the canopy.
I was pretty bummed about the SOG, HD, but your new project looks awesome. I like the idea of tying twice a day and being hands on like that.
Oh, well, back to my fucked up day.

Thanks, DaBuh...I could never have pulled off growing in my folks home. Even now, we have to burn scented candles and incense when we have a babysitter. It's probably a better idea for you to wait 'til your out, anyway...all that stress worrying about being nabbed takes it's toll. And you need a place where you can really hang out and spend lots of time with them. You've gotten a pretty good idea how attached you can become to a plant. In fact, I like my plants more than my dog.
This is only my second grow and I can't imagine not having a current grow---like I'd be wasting days something should be growing.
Well, good luck and stay away from those cops---the cops really are worse than parents.
well this is the second time i have read through the entire epic adventure of harddonna. it was a great read and once agian i learned even more, maybe the third time will make time reverse and turn it female then go back further and make my parents understand im not going to give up weed, nor growing as soon as i have my own place. They kinda bugged my computer or something and found out i was still researching on growing and everything like that so they ripped on me about it. how do ya make some 1 understand researching is awsome when its something your so intrested in that you have a obsession for it lol. i dont think they know of me on this site so no worries to you guys (as if they could do anything anyway).

The best lie also has some truth to it. I grow cherry tomatoes in my closet---sort of-- and my 5-year-old picks and eats them. Of course, they are from a container in the frig and only scattered around the MJ plant pots once a week.
There's no way to hide a grow room from a 5-year-old, so I adapted and she's even shared cherry tomatoes with her grampa.
Hmmm, why did I bring this up? Oh, well, why not consider plants other than pot? Just start growing something because you dig making things come to life? It might even lessen their anger about you be caught recently. Think about it: a teenage guy thinks growing plants is cool...but he's still a teenage guy, so what does he grow? Something his buddies would think was cool or funny. He's not setting out to be a freakin' drug addict. Maybe your choices in video games freak them out, too, eh? But you aren't gonna start carjacking anybody for real.
Maybe they catch you with a tulip bulb?

well actully i have a bonsai tree now and been taking very good care of it, ordered it after they found Epstine. the one thing i dont like about bonsai are that they are very slow.
Tomatos or something to that affect would be very funny if it were found, they would send me to a therapist instead of a rehab center lmao (no they arent really sending me to one)
I might look into some other plants, maybe on saturday, school and work tomorrow are going to keep me very busy. Tulips sound like a good idea tho, they are a weed also so they must grow very easily and fast. But i would rather grow something that will give me a physical production along with a metal pride in caring for something full grown and healthy.
ohh and 9ski how did ya know im stuck on beating old people after i pull them out of the car in grand theft auto san andreas??!?!?!

i just remebered my mom is crazy about tulips hahaha, my dad gets them for her every chance he gets. do they grow well under the same relative conditions as MJ?
this whole tulip thing is a lil wierd.....
I figure I better make the most of my next three or four grows, since that'll be it for a while because of her. She's dropped some wild flower seeds in small pots and is growing her own with my current crop. The novelty wore off, so it's no big deal that our closet looks like the sun until 8pm every night. I just had to make it a 100% foolproof that she could tell a teacher that she picked and ate what Dad was growing in the closet. Man, busted by a kindergarten teacher might slightly alter my neighbor's view of me.
Thats a totaly great story. It's good to see that there are still people out there who are good parents.
I don't know anything about tulips except that they are mostly perennial bulbs that you stick in the ground and forget about until early spring. Probably not an ideal cover plant for your new hobby...tulips just sound funny. Like it's a happy, gay, unstoner flower.Quote:

my little locker is to small for more then 1 plant unless its like 2 lowrider's so there isnt anyway i can hide a MJ plant nearby(plus they'd prolly rummage through the entire growing space i had for even a sprout of MJ, if i had a big enough space) ohh well im just gonna wait until i can convince my friend i could grow in his apt and no one would find out (hard tho he recently gave up MJ)
Just a quick Flower Day 18 update...
My four girls under a 400w HPS and a scattering of eight CFL's. It looks cramped, but isn't really. All are mostly indica, but each plant looks very different. About 42 days to some serious trich watching. They had some cactus juice a few days ago and I suppose I'll give them another shot in about 10 days.
Any opinions on when to stop misting? They've seemed to love it since they were little babies.

One thing..you are wasting use of your CFL's by having them near the top canopy like that. Your HPS will power thru those areas. They just create unneeded heat and cast shadows when they are that high.
Lower them. All the CFL's will really do is PREVENT mass defoilaging which is a good thing for the health of the plant.
But being that high, isnt really doing anything to benefit your environment.
I would lower them ASAP...or turn them off. :)

No oops, HD, it read right. Or at least I just assumed you were saying "live" leaves were a good thing, although lower fans will die as the plant matures.
In any case, the remaining CFL's are lowered.
The smell, DaBuh? Hmmm, the smell you ask...when you first open my kitchen door an unmistakeable wall of skunky, pot smell waps you pretty hard. If you were to take a well used water bong and smash it in the Acme produce department, you'd know what my kitchen smells like. But then you walk upstairs toward the grow closet and you start picking out individual smells, like the unique tangy odor of Superthrive...then you get the musky aroma of bat guano, which reminds me of my grandma's horse barn...there's a little vinegar smell and a little taste of warm soil. It smells like life, DaBuh...life.
And HD's gonna comp me a book!!!
