So whats up man, plants look great. What advise are you looking for man? The smaller one will bud, but hell its only July man, you just gotta wait it out man. You should harvest at around October or so, if you can hold off on the free buds that is:DQuote:

thanx lsy you answered everything i think i was just a lil over worried but im cool now. Can you tell me what bud rot looks like i mean mine are in the shade alot so i know that i may have a prob with that in the future so was trying to get a lil info on it ????Quote:

I know you can see it, so this should help you get rid of it. But i wouldn't worry about it till you see it. If your worried id search it.Quote:

Bud rot happens during rainy or humid periods. It will start in the thickest part if the bud, behind the bud or next to the stem. You will notice a hunk of your bud start to die. Then if left unchecked. it will spread up the rest of the bud and start other sites in other buds, usually in the thickest part of your plant. It also may start on a stem and kill everything above it by stopping nutrient flow up the plant.
The way I keep it in check is slow and time consuming. Examine your girls regularly. it you see a grey fuzzy (looks like mildew) spot on the green you have bud rot. A drop of rubbing alchahol on a Q tip will kill the spores and stop that spot of infestion. Then cut it out. Budrot does not do well in sunshine or wind. Anything that dries the plant out makes it harder for the rot to take hold. If you have it, watering in the morning (if you must water at all) helps.
I have found bud rot to be somewhat strain resistant. Some strains can get it easily. Others can take a week or two of rain and seldom if ever rot. Best way to avoid it is perfect weather in the final month of growing. If you get that you are golden.
Pray for sun. Good luck.
thanx LSY and oldhaole i think i had a lil bit of that going on on the bottom of 2 of the tops so i removed it im thinking its cuz to much shade not enough sun plus it has been humid to so if i see any more i might have to harvest early cuz im afraid it will just keep on spreading which will suck but im gonna hold out for as long as i can and keep my fingers crossed thanx again guys :jointsmile::thumbsup:
well this morn i went out to water and i checked on the middle top looked like the rot was gonna spready so i took the middle top off of superhands before it got to bad to save and so it would not spread to the other tops on here i got a few pics here goes
the 2nd pic you can see on tha stem where the but rot was oh and it weighed 5.5 grams wet so i might end up with a couple j's haha oh well
''cowdog'' POSTED this in ''bud rot'' search, thought it might help ya if you read it man.:rasta:Quote:

Bud Rot
During the last week or two of flowering, depending on if you use chemical or organics. If you use chemical, you want to flush 1 ½ weeks to 2 weeks before harvest to flush out all of the chemical nutrients that your plant was using. If you are using Organics then you would want to flush about a week before harvest. Giving them plain water is fine, flushing them also improves the overall quality of your bud. Once you start to 'flush' you should check extra careful for bud rot. Bud Rot Happens when the humidity is high, if you have fat dense buds, or if mold spores are in the air. Bud rot looks like a black brownish sludge that can quickly take over your plant and ruin your harvest. The mold spores are air-borne.
Prevent and Control
Removing any dead or dying material from the plant helps prevent bud rot so does decreasing humidity and increasing ventilation. There are also safe anti fungal sprays from hydro shops that help. If you do find gray mould, cut off the infected part of the plant well above and below the effected area and remove it from the grow room. Decreasing the humidity from 55% to around 40% will make a big difference in preventing bud mold. Also having very big buds can cause bud rot, and would advise watching the areas on your plant that have the biggest, thickest and the more dense buds. Try to have medium size buds rather than having big thick buds. Having a dehumidify around when high humidity days can help as well.
To protect them against bud rot for outside. DO NOT foliar spary at night, doing this the heat will not evaporate the water as well because it is night.
Water the plants in the day instead of so close to being night. Same as foliar spraying.
Make sure your plants are stress free as possible and checking plants often can aid in getting rid of moldy bud before the spores spread onto other areas of the plant! Have a lot of air going around the plants for bad ventilation= sick plants and a breeding ground for spores!
Keep leaves away from soil making sure they do NOT touch the soil.
Keep cooler temps at night while plants are on there down time.
If you have gotten bud rot already the best thing to do is cut off the bad buds discard them away from youâ??re grow and apply any of the following: Neem oil, Neem2 which is a ready made solution!
Using high ph water for foliar spray prevents them from spreading as well kills the mold. pythium is another good product to use! There are many other chemicals and organics that work, but these are the most popular and they work very very well!
Fungus
Fungus is another problem when you are in flowering, because they are susceptible to a fungus or bud rot. Growing conditions for fungus are best when temps are between 60 and 80 degrees and the humidity is high. The fungus is very destructive and spreads quickly. These kinds of fungus are air borne and can travel to other bud sites. If you already have been infected by them the best thing you can do is cut off and remove the infected area and then discard out of the grow area, then get a hold of some anti-fungal spray and apply.
Fungi can kill your crop quick, so invest in some SAFE fungicide and spray down the plants as much as you can and as soon as you can. The faster the safer.. If you have had problems with fungus before, do NOT spray them you will contribute to the fungus becoming resistant to the spray/chemicals you are using. Try to keep the humidity down to the range fungus do not grow to well in. Keep a good amount of ventilation around your grow, and if you have plants outside, always keep them quarantined away youâ??re your indoor plants until you know they are safe.
Most fungicides are very nasty and eating them can be very dangerous so its best to use something on them that is safe on plants that you can eat., Safer makes a very safe product that can be found in most stores and hydro shops. it contains only sulfur in solution. Here is a picture of what bud rot looks like when it starts to form.
Control
To control to prevent fungus from forming there are a few things you should do.
DO NOT foliar feed at night, tends to make humidity higher rather than when you water in the day the water has time to evaporate where at night will linger in the air.
Same goes for watering plants at night, wait till the morning or afternoon to water!
Keep a happy plant and will not become prone to infections. Checking plants often can aid in getting rid of any fungus that may attack other leaves and or bud!
Have a lot of air going around the plants for bad ventilation= sick plants and a breeding ground for spores!
Keep leaves away from soil making sure they do NOT touch the soil.
Keep cooler temps at night while plants are on there down time.
If you have already gotten some kind of fungus there are things you can use: neem2, neem oil works wonders!! Potassium Bicarbonate, Baking soda and for other chemical agents you can use Plant Shield, Serenade and pythium! There are many other chemicals and organics that work but these are the most popular and they work very very well!
thanx Lsy looks like i already took a step in tha right direction by removing what i did i just hope that i cant leave the rest of the buds to mature and not have to cut them early which will suck thanx again LSY bro :thumbsup::jointsmile:

Well guys i ended up taking another one of the tops on superhands you could see the rot or mold running up tha steam to the bud another couple of days and it prob would have been on the bud. Now the other top has no signs of it at all so im gonna leave it there plus she has a couple lower branches that just started making buds so ill just let them mature and stuff.
well guys its been a couple days since i did an update someone had to borrow the cam so i cant get pics for a couple of days the girls are looking great the one i topped is growing like a weed Runty still is not showing any signs of flowering just still putting out pistles and superhands is doing good im just doing the waiting game now im still waiting on the one i topped to show sex
Well shit stinky. If your getting buds already you did something right I guess
Good growing:rasta:
lol yeah your right but it could have been a much better year but im a newb at growing so this year is just mainly for experience. Im just glad that i was able to grow a couple of plants and end up with a lil bud haha next year im gonna up my grow and try and learn from my mistakes from this years growQuote:

lol yeah i made the mistake of not taking in to account the leaves would fill in more on the tree's where i planted. So my plants went from getting like 6 to 7 hours or direct light to maybe an hour or 2. so this has affected my plants all year so they do not look near as good as half the ppl's on here. Next year i plan to use pots at least for the first few months.Quote:

YES!! lol you bet your ass it is lol but its also teaches you at the same time. Ill never make the same mistake lol but im not sweating it im just gonna finish this grow out and improve next grow .Quote:

At least by his time all the leaves will have filled in and i can put them in a great spot.Quote:

Well guys a lil update we got a good rain last night so the girls are loving it. Now that its almost august im waiting to see signs of runty starting to flower and im still waiting on the one i topped to show sex.
Superhands will prob be done in a couple more weeks im still not sure though i have been a bit busy and i have not got the cam back yet so no pics yet prob sometime this week.
yay its working again
ok well a lil update i took the last brance on superhands about 4 days ago i had 2 cuz if i did not it was gonna get infested with budworms i got 2 ff of it after i picked it so im glad i took it when i did talk about having bad luck haha
but superhands is still alive and she is growing some more branches and looks like she is gonan make more buds so thats cool gonna let it do its thing
runty is doing good looks like she may start to flower i na couple weeks andm y unnamed plant has yet to show sex yet but it will prob do that 2 in a couple weeks
man good to see ya sticky ive had problems with the caterpilers too my only solution is vilagence if you watch your plants enough you will see them ive noticed that where the worms are the will be little spots that looks like dirt/rot on your plant (mostly the buds) but its not dirt/rot its the half eaten plant material from the worms this is a tall tale sign that you have them just look in that area you see the dirt/rot and you will find them i pulled like 10 or 12 of my girls yesterday straight munchin my buds hope this helps :baggy:
sorry to hear about your plants lever do the budworms you have do they make lil webs to and what they look like
well guys for my update superhands is revegging a lil and runty i thin kis starting to flower and my yougest plant just showed sex and its a girl so im happy still have not got the cam back yet but ill try to this week sometime and get some pics no promises though and i hope i dont have anymore probs with the budworms or bud rot
well its time for a pic update ppl
the first 2 pics are of superhands really cant call her that from the looks of her now but yo ucan see the branches growing up
and the nex 2 pics are of my youngest one that just showed sex itsa a girl
the last pic is a pic is of runty
i know that my plants are not the best looking plants but im sure thats prob cuz the lack of direct sunlight which has turned out to be the main cause of all my probs this grow lesson learned haha
ah here is an all in one shot of all 3 girls
Just keep the ferts going and plain water in between and it will help them get up a bit man:thumbsup:Quote:

Then next year your ahead of the game bro:jointsmile:Quote:

Man like i said, mine looked just like yours last year so i planned early this year and moved em out a bit to catch more direct light. Plus if you can try and start them in May or even April if you can, because the bugs arnt as bad on them in the begging. Plus if ya start them out in small pots and re pot 2 or even 3 times to bigger pots, brotha you will ave nice big ass monsters next year. And ya got all winter to invest in some quality nutes and good soil and most important perlite. I have come to believe that perlite is as important as water.Quote:

Nice job man:thumbsup:and next year you will step it up and can take advantage of the knowledge from this year. And hey you got a 5 star rated grow for your first grow! I think mine was rated as 3 stars and none for this grow, lol.
Great job bro:rasta:
thanx LSY you have been a big help this season and yeah i am already planning for my next grow and im gonna do it in pots like you do so i can get a good root ball and stuff ah and how do you rate ppls logs you deserve a 5 star this year mos defQuote:

Its a good idea and you can dig your holes in spring, it gets the animals used to em and should leave your plant alone, just something an old timer told me. You will luv next year man. And maybe grow one in a box with CFL's for a winter project, you could even re veg it and ya dont need many of these. If i knew this i would have not put but only the re vegs out.Quote:
