So i use a chair, dosnt mean i cant grow!

I think it might be a newbie thing. I see these giant buds staring at me. Then i see these smaller buds with tears in there eyes, wanting some of that nice sun light.

I really wish i would have read this sooner:wtf:

I took the big buds that covered the lower buds. Im thinking i made a mistake. Hell i could kick myself. I just talked with a friend and he said that maybe i should have maybe taken a few of the lower buds for the time being.

Yeah i guess i should have. Im going to blame it on my living situation and boredom. I really never thought id get any of it. All the work i put into it and while i was tending to them, in the back of my head i was thinking id never harvest a thing. I guess you would have to know my situation better. I can see you all now wanting to kick me in the head after all the help you all have given and i do something so extreme without advise. I posted something about it, but got impatient i guess. It all seemed like a dream. I had nice healthy plants that were all mine, wow. Every day and night i had the feeling they were going to get taken, or chopped to bits!:( Like i said living here isn't fun at all.
Also, all i did all summer was make sure that if my plants need something i was there to take care of them. Because before sprouting my seeds i had been in bed for close to a year. I was going to put this out there but not till i had pulled every plant dried and cured every bud. Because i dont need the poor dude in a chair thing. I fucking hate that sorta thinking. Everyone has something in there life they wish the were better at or had more money. The list goes on and on. I just dont walk, its really not that bad people. I do most of what iv always done and im a happy dude. But previous to the start of the grow i had been in bed. Freaking couldn't get out. I put off a shoulder surgery and then i couldn't even roll over in bed. It sucked! I had a hard time just getting something to drink or eat. That chick that lives here wouldn't help me at all. I mean i could beg for something and after me all making noise she'd just come in and close my door,lol fucking bitch. My daughter would help, but with that teenage attitude. So, i got extra nurses aids to help. Which did help, but was my really only source of human interaction. Now some of you might have picked up a bit of my personality, but im a people person and its what makes me thrive:thumbsup: I dont go to chat rooms or that kind of thing on the Internet, but i love my Can.com baby:rastasmoke: I get the people on this site and for most of the people on here i think get me:thumbsup:

Well after surgery and a new Doc, who helps my pain w/o seeing my piss:thumbsup::thumbsup:, i germ some seeds. Not the best, but they were all i could get my hands on. I got a bunch of females and my summer started. So, after getting in bed at the end of July of last year, i finally got up ever day starting this year on July 1st and made myself get up everyday. The thing is that it was so easy because of my plants. It was my therapy and it worked. Hell iv got all my strength back and feel great. My shoulder is going to bug me a bit, but hell if you pushed a chair 23 years, somethings going to give. So, i use a power chair which gets me in the woods now. Not so bad. I grew some not bad smoke:thumbsup: Hell everyday i carried a gallon jug out there 3-4 and sometimes more. Also, making sure the weeds were not taking my ferts/nutes. I had a blast! And i got every bit of strength back i lost being in that damn bed. I need to take some strong meds, so i need a doc that will treat me. So far so good:thumbsup: He did ask me what helps the spasms other then Valium and i said Med Pot. He only said ''well to bad were not in the right state''. Im thinking he knows and isn't pushing the issue. I tried to move to a better state but it isn't that easy when iv used every penny i had on the two i live with. Also, my house is only about 7 years old. Its a perfect place to grow from too. Im looking and might have found a roommate, so that will take care of that issue.

Then all i had to do was wait. Wait, i couldn't wait. I needed something to do. I dont speak to anyone who lives here. There odd man, they will each read 3-4 books a week, but not say a word. Its anti social behavior. The books just make it easier. lol, this is way cheaper then a shrink.


Well i got four plants still kicking and doing well. Also, a plant with seven cut off the tops. There are a ton of buds still on the plant. The question is will they grow? After all i cut 7 parts off it. I used a clean and very sharp saw. Its something i use to cook with. It looks like a bread cutter. Anyway iv been giving it molasses and water. I took maybe 2 fan leaves off it in its life, so there are plenty of leaves. I hope they feed the buds well. If there is anything i can do to help it, please advise. One in the woods looks like its done, but im letting it go really far. Its only about 14'', so i just want to see what happens and harvest when it gets to cold to put a bag over it. But the other 3 need to grow a lot. Which il have plenty to smoke and i want them to be as perfect as i can get them:thumbsup::D

Sorry i think i got a bit carried away, but i feel comfortable in here. Iv never been around (so to speak) people who share the same ideas and hobbies like i do. Also, its been driving me crazy as to what i had done. Then i get on and did the very thing i shouldn't have. But, live and learn. I am in the process of getting an indoor set up going and will make some mistakes there too. But im going to grow the best looking buds some day and look back at this and laugh my ass off. I will get a pic of the damage some time in the afternoon. Maybe someone has an idea as to the course i might take from this point. Also, if anyone has any questions about anything, please ask. People think its rude to ask questions, but id much rather you know the truth, then just assume something not correct. And if ya gotta know something your not comfortable posting on here, email works:thumbsup:

But thanks for the advise. I will not do it again, lol for sure. Plus im thinking the indoor thing will bring a whole different bunch of issues. Iv been concentrating my reading on indoors here lately.

Hey bro, I've been reading through since the beginning but haven't chimed in. Just a thought but, you shouldn't worry about taking the tops, in fact congrats on getting so far. Didn't you say your worried someone will probably take them from you anyway. Think of it like this- now you don't have to worry about anybody taking them, so you can just smile and sleep better.:thumbsup:

LSY its all a learning experience and we never quit learning. Remember its a native weed and survives under all types of growing conditions. Of course the difficult part is it takes so long to grow out, when you make a mistake its another 5-6 months before you can harvest a better grown batch.

I learned something today that you can use a little soap to help flush, never knew that. Which that will take care of the roots but IMO you cannot flush the strong ferts out of mature buds.

I am using organic ferts and good soil mixes and it is totally different in taste compared to hydro with GH synthetics.

Im going to make the best out of it. Checking out lights is complicated man. I like the LED'S, but wow. Theres a lot of numbers to work out before i buy anything:wtf:

You can start by using compact fluorescent bulbs and a small metal halide 150Watt off ebay is about $80.00. Some folks are doing small autoflowers under compact bulbs and getting decent bud.

Best of luck with the roomate situation also, it scares me when someone has an ungrateful person in their home and a live grow. You piss them off and they drop a dime on you.

simple 4 foot T-12 shop lights (6500k) work great for the first 3 weeks...then...you want HID lights...if possible.

HID (high intensity discharge) lights are the way to go. I recommend a 250 or 400 watt HPS. I have no experience with CFL's. All my grow pics are in my album, click on my public profile...:pimp:...good luck with your indoor grow.

Well im working on wiring this light up that i bought last year. Problem is it seems i cant find the directions. Its a 65w CFL i got on ebay. It will get me started i think. I will be germing a few seeds in the next few days. I got some really good seeds to work with now and im getting really bored. But the biggest is the good seed part, of course the bored part too. Because i think indoors will keep me busy. I am going to germ about 4-5 seeds to get started.

When i got the light it said to ground it, but as im not an electrician and lost the directions does anyone have a clue?

But as of now i took a few pic's of what i have left. The last pic is the plant i hacked up. Its doing well. As in, its getting bigger, so i dont think i shocked it to death. The others are still doing well, but one. Not sure if it needs some N or not. There is a plant close to it and its fine. Meaning, getting as much light. But iv noticed when it gets yellow. Now its never been yellow at the leaf tips. I was meaning the bottom parts of the plant, iv given it fert and it gets greener. But this yellow is different. Like i said its the tips of the leaves that are yellow and this has never happened. Iv been giving them molasses and water only for about a week, so im going to give it a shot of ferts tonight. Other then that im not sure what it could be.

Those all look OK, I would not give more nutes. Most strains are genetically programed to allow more nutrient uptake to the flower in order to help it finish once temps fall and less light hours.

Hey bro good luck on the indoor grow plans, be 100% sure your wiring won't cause a fire. When it comes to electricity it's important to over-do the size of your wires etc. unless you know exactly what your doing. Just looking out bro.:thumbsup:

Well my plant i butchered is growing. I was hoping it would have taken off faster, but i guess its concentrating on the parts i cut off. Iv read were people have cut off buds that were done, to get growth in other areas of their plants. Anyway here are some pics of some of the buds and a pic of the whole plant.

Did something else dumb. I saw a jar on the window ledge, so after my buds were ready, i put them in the jar. Well i should have checked the jar because it wasnt clean and now i have buds that smell like pickles. I cleaned the jar and soaked it in soapy water. Other then that i didnt know what to do. Everything that was up there was clean, i have no idea why that jar wasnt. There was no smell to it when i checked it out, but after i put the lid on for a week, i could smell it:(

Well i thought i had posted this before i went to my Doc., but i guess not. Anyway here are 3 pic's of my light. I took it apart so that i might be able to make a bigger hood for it. Im still thinking on that for now, because i need a bit of help wiring it before anything Else. Its a 65w CFL that i bought on ebay. It said on the box it was 6500k, so this would get me through vegging:thumbsup:

I noticed there are two very small cracks in the bulb. Maybe 1/8'' each. I hope i can still use it, because that all i have for now. I was thinking about four T5 fluorescents for budding 2700k. :thumbsup:

The first 2 are of it taken apart and flipped open to see how i could attach a different hood to it and also, i need to know where to ground it. Im going to use an extension cord from the dollar store or something. But im not sure how to ground it. I really dont want my hair looking like Shakes avatar, lol:wtf::D

So, what about the cracks, think they will be ok, or just try it? And can someone give me a hand as to a ground wire. Where do i ground it too?

Any help would be great, i want to get a grow started cuz i have some killer seeds to play with now:cool:

That looks to be some type of circuit protection board, what was the original use for the light? Is there a reset switch or fuse?

No ground, its just hot wire to black and neutral to the white.

It is a flood light advertised also to grow with. No reset or fuse. The directions said how to ground it but i cant find the damn thing anyplace. It said to ground it. My thinking is to run a wire from hot wire-black- to a place where its grounded but where is that? Or do i run a ground to the white-not hot wire- to a place on the light.

Yes, there is only 2 wires on the light, but i need to add a wire to either hot or neutral wire to 3rd prong on extension cord, which would then ground it. If more info is needed let me know or more pics.

IDK, but here where I live (in the US) my home circuits are black and white and green.....Then again my home is over 20 yrs.

Should be black is hot for 110v then black & red are hot on a 220V circuit like for a clothes dryer or air conditioner.

In the 2nd i put my pack of smokes in for size comparison and last pic has got a smoke on top, because there are no branches on it. The first bud looks nice, but only white trech's. I think its going to be a big bud. Shake said they would ''swell'' and they sure are:thumbsup:

Hey guys thanks for stopping in. I was throwing pic's up i took today. Your right about the wiring Hemp, as black being hot wire. I havent been to the site Shake laid out for me but i just need a really simple answer, im only making it hard. Thanks man, but yesturday i went out and 2 out of four were on the ground. Both were snapped at the bottem, including the little one. We had bad wind the day before and i think thats what did it. So i harvested everything. I had taken down my big one the day before and although the stem is huge and i dont think it would have snapped but it was a lot of work and im glad i got it done. The weather got really cold and frost is close. Plus the big one was becoming to visable to the guy who mowes the grass next to me. I got 1/4p just from the big one.

I hung it for 3 days, then put it in a paper bag and today jars.
