Yes actually the skin does pull back when it's erect. I really don't think it's ugly....but my boyfriend does get mad when I called it a little penis pouch...hahahaha.

Here's my thoughts:
Post #27 covered the medically accepted pros for circumcision.
Many people have mentioned the cons - It is unnecessary surgery, it is not the way nature made it, sensitivity is lost.
It should be a man's choice, but unfortunately it isn't something you can try out and then change your mind! And in the case of men who were circumcised as children, ain't no choice left at all.
Now I'm a fan of penises. *chuckle* Different sizes, different shapes, cut & uncut. I have somewhat of a preference for cut, but the user and his skill, attentiveness, & attractiveness matter oh-so-much more. Asthetically I do find it more appealing, and then there's the functionality differences:

Well, let me just say that when it comes to intercourse, I like the friction. We ladies have lots of nerve endings on the outside, but on the inside we feel mostly just pressure & friction. So when an uncut man is doing his thing, some of the in and out is within his own foreskin, so less of it is felt by the woman.
But put a condom on it and they all feel the same.

Yea, they've got it down pretty well, to establish some actual facts into this:
- Yes, being circumsized does increase the chances of urinary tract infection, in the first few years of life. This is due, however, to the fact that kids are dirty. If the parents are doing their job and teach them to clean themselves properly, there's not really a problem.
- Being circumsized doesn't necessarily mean you're clean. Uncircumsized guys are as clean as can be if they actually clean themselves, while conversely a circumsized guy who never cleans is going to be dirty. Lesson: Guys who clean themselves are clean. That's what actually matters here. It's not hard, we have soap and water.
- I do believe being circumsized lowers the chance of getting STD's by some amount, but as you either should be using protection/not screwing with diseased people, this isn't much of a factor.
- Girls can't really normally distinguish between a circumsized and uncircumsized penis, when it's fully erect. Also, as the skin folds back and creates a sort of ridge, it actually helps in pleasuring the female more.
- Being circumsized lowers your sexual pleasure. The skin has nerves: When it gets cut off, these nerves obviously no longer work (or are there). The result is the male doesn't feel as much.
Oh, from what I understand, the Jewish began the practice for 2 reasons 1) back in the day when hygiene was horrible (no soap and water like now) it was harder to clean yourself, so being circumsized helped, and 2) Being that way lowers sexual pleasure, and helps the boys not touch themselves as much. Seeing as how most religions see sex in some fearful and mystical light, this isn't surprising.
Oh, and if you are THINKING about giving your son, either now or in the future, a circumcision, go watch a video of one happening. Or, if you're gonna do it soon and don't care, go watch it happen to your son. There's nothing that'll keep you up at night like watching doctors send a newborn into SHOCK from the pain of having one of their most sensitive areas chopped off.
Seriously, anyone who gets their kid circumsized in the modern day needs to reconsider... it should be considered as genital mutilation.
They go after people in Africa for cutting parts of the girls' anatomy at a younger age, but yet they do it to males and it's OK. Sexism at its finest.

I'm neither pro nor anti circumcision. Nobody can know what's better without experiencing both, and getting circumcised at a later age is a poor way of comparing them. I only have 3 things to add to this thread:
1) Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's better. Do people cut their hair or shave? What about nails? Isn't it natural for nails to grow continuously? That doesn't mean cutting them isn't a better option.
2) I am circumcised, and I am perfectly satisfied with the amount of sexual stimulation my penis allows me to have. Every single guy out there, circumcised or not, appears to be equally content with the amount of sexual stimulation they can receive. So even if uncircumcised penises are more sensitive, then I believe most people still ENJOY sexual stimulation relatively the same.
3) Penises don't need the lubrication of the foreskin. Precum works as a lubricant effectively enough, not to mention the vagina provides more than enough lubrication necessary for sex.

im uncut like most guys in europe, and yeah, it needs maintense every day, but has to stay clean:D. I was told that circumcised is healthier but just the thought of a doc with a sharp lance cutting my dick makes me sick.
