Just FYI, Sandy Koufax, from Brookyn, was a Dodger (1955-1966).Quote:

im not... but im just curious as to why some people dont eat bacon???
i was working one time and this guy brings his arbys melt back and was like, "there is a piece of bacon on this" (when we had BBQ bacon jack melts, we had bacon bits) and a bacon bit some how got on it. he was pissed actually, he was just like "im jewish i dont eat fuckin bacon... i want my sandwich replaced" all he had to do was take off this tiny little piece of bacon..
just curious, thanks
Pork. Orthodox Jews wont eat certain food, because it's unclean. Pork is dirty meat, as it's from a dirty animal, and it has a Cloven Hoof. Also, it goes off very quickly and can give you a jippy stomach.
Orthodox Jew's choose to eat Kosher meats.
I would guess that even if the bacon was removed, there would be cross-contamination and the customer wants to be 100% certain that he is not ingesting any pork.Quote:

The same is true of a hamburger - if I order a hamburger or hot dog without a bun, and they send it on one anyway, I cannot just remove the burger - they have to start from scratch. Needless to say, I don't eat out much - and don't want to until they come up with a pill to prevent consequences from accidental, or deliberate, exposure.
He's telling you guys wrong info. I am not sure the exact percentage but Im pretty sure orthodox observant Jews make up (i know atleast) less tahn 30%.Quote:

Bong30, it's Judaism, not Jewdism, for Christ's sake.
Judaism is technically only passed down through the mother, so I'm not Jewish in the literal sense of the word, but my dad's family is Jewish, and so I've been raised with the traditions of unorthodox Judaism.
It's nice to hear people who are offended by all the anti-Semitism in our world today.
or a wealthy athiest neighbor who did the sameQuote:
