Upgrading my 512kb Amiga to a full 1mb - holy crap I thought I was the schnizzle.
I was too young for a car otherwise it would have been a clapped out escort with an RS body kit.
Crap, that sounded a bit pikey

Garbage pal stickers.....he he.....i remember swapping loads of cards for a pair of handcuffs at primary school........everyone was asking me to lock them up for fun!!!! I lost the key for them with a young lad cuffed to the mobile classroom stairs......everyone in the school had to come out and we combed the whole school, ended up getting the fire brigade out to cut him free....i was only 10 and scared shitless...........saying that the lad who was cuffed is probably scarred for life seeing a hack saw coming to his hand......lol
Oh memories
dont forget that pop music
and The Magic School Bus kicked a lot of ass
orbits (those drinks with the little yellow balls that were suspended in it)
the snow storm of 91 (if u grew up in the midwest u member that fucker. like 4 feet of snow on halloween)
trading football cards after lunch in elementry school
kick ball (i hated the bitchs that would fake us all out by only tapping the ball so we had to run up on it and get it)
born in 1991 i love th 90's best years in the world for me
well than im sure you remember the flood of '97, on the red river valleyQuote:

I remember El Nino happened. We had harsh winters, I mean, like 5-8 ft of snow on our lawn and backyard alone, but ever since El Nino happened, the winters have been getting shorter and milder.
I remeber that harsh ice storm they had in Ontario. Power was out for weeks and the entire province was a sheet of ice. The trees, cars, roads, buildings, everything was ice. It was fucked.
On snow days when you would wake up and turned on the news to see if school was cancelled, and if it was, all the kids in the neighborhood would go sledding or make forts in the snow piles the plows would make.
i was unfortunate =/ i've lived my entire life in texas, i never really saw snow til like last year, and then it was like at most a 1/2 inch, but it was enough for me and my bro to make snowballs, that's probably the best nostalgic (sp?) memory of the 00's for me... but this is about the 90's! i remember when riding your bikes in pouring rain and getting your back as wet as possible (you know how the rear tire always flung water up when you'd go through a puddle at high speed) didn't make you look like an idiot... i remember when the neighbor hoods were safe to play in all night... i remember when shootings were rare, and big news (i doubt that would go for every area tho) i remember the adventures me and friends would go on, just to see what was on the other side of the city... hell i remember it all and miss it dearly.
i stilll have a tube (that's what the people who had alot of pogs kept them in) of pogs somewhere in the attic with those fat ass slammers that are clear if you look through them sideways but if you look down there's an image.... ahh man i have a heavy heart now, i miss my childhood so dearly, but for some reason the only thing you can think about as a kid is getting older, then when you're older all you can think of is being younger and having happier times.
i even remember how i lost fate in santa clause.... i found a die cast rig under my grandparents bed, then a week later i mysteriously get the same thing from santa clause and the one under the bed is gone... i was always a smart kid... i was only 6 or 7...
anybody else feeling that warmth inside of you after reading this thread and getting those chills...? i remember spoons.... where you'd take those slightly bendable cafateria spoons, bend them at the end you hold and take turns trying to break the other persons actual spoon part... i was always a damn champion, the trick was to aim about a half inch up from the tip of the spoon and pull back as fast as possible, til your spoon almost bends and becomes unusable and letting it go, all within a second.... i won alot of pizza doing that..
i remember when school was actually fun to go to, because it wasn't all just work, there was recess and plenty to do... and the weekly trips to the library, i'd always get an oragami book... and when that all that mattered about your school work was you tried hard, succeed or fail, and there was no worry about money, ever....
i wonder if anyone's actually shed a tear after reading this thread...
people with metal slammers sucked. they would always fuck up my pogs
