Oh, and the reseaon that I "hate" america (I am American) and cannot wait to leave this country is essentially because it seems the citizens are either apathetic, stupid or ignorant. There are two mainstream political parties, both of which are corrupt, nobody pays attention to current events to the extent of say, looking at what foriegn news sources have to say because american media is full of shit, no one seems to care when USA PATRIOT ACT passes or when it even appears that any civil rights what so ever are being taken away for any reason, no cares that the war on drugs is a $33 billion waste of money and resources.

The whole point of freedom is the right to choose yet the US has shown contempt for the democratic process on more than one occassion.
Support for Pinochet against a duly appointed democratically chosen "communist" leader.
The idea that "communists" are evil is ridiculous , the paranoia shown in it's dealings with anyone who does not conform to the american ideal is insane and the propoganda machine goes haywire , what is americas obsession with "enemies"??

Neither I nor anyone else,has ever claimed that America is perfect..however,I do believe that Americans can solve the problems we have-and continue to liberate folks from tryanny. Despite the best efforts of Man-the flames of Freedom,continue to burn brightly and un-tamed..at some point,all folks yearn for Freedom..and if it be God's Will-then by God-we will free those who are oppressed..and no darkness will extinguish the flames of Freedom.

That's true Sawleaf, and for that getting rid of Saddam was good, I guess.
But like I said in another post, there were so many horrible in the world and so many horrible and bloody civil conflicts, but the US didn't do anything about them. There was Pol Pot in Cambodia, I don't remember any air strikes ordered against him (I use this example a lot because my girlfriend's family used to live there, but managed to escape to Canada in 1981, I believe). There is currently a very deadly war going in Sudan right now. North Korea is a virtual prison state.

When will you understand that America doesn't give a flying fuck about people? When will you notice that only people you're trying to 'liberate' are the people in the Middle-East? There are bad dictators all around the world, yet Bush probably can't even pronounce their names because they don't have valuable resources that you could use.
