You seem to be one of the more considerate posters in this area and that it's appreciated by me and I'm sure others. Peace is always the ultimate to strive for but unfortunately we're human first and our history more/less dictates that the peace solution usually follows alot of death. I'll bet these "world leaders" loved playing "King of the Mountain" as kids.
By the way........I still say that in order to have a political debate you HAVE to leave the door a lil' more open to flaming, etc........hell, why should we have to live by a higher standard than paid politicians? Just my :twocents:
You take care, keep up the good posts and the good fight and as always....
Have a good one!
The apology is appreciated altho, it is not needed, I have taken no offense.
As far as Death comeing before peace, I'll agree this is the human races history, but I dont agree that it has to repeat itself over and over, it only has to do that should we choose to ignore it.
On that topic im stumped as to how not to ignore it, and how to change keep it from happening again and again. But I believe it possible.
I enjoy a critical conversation, maybe a little too much for others, but for me, it fits right well.
Thank you for participating in them, and I look forward to more in the future, you have been one of the few here that have actually admitted they can see my point, and that is refreshing, altho you may not agree with my opinion, as I dont always agree with yours, its always a battle to see something from anothers perspective.
Respect
Peace:rasta:

"Of those qualities on which civilization depends, next after courage, it seems to me, comes an open mind, and, indeed, the highest courage is, as Holmes used to say, to stake your all upon a conclusion which you are aware tomorrow may prove falseā?........Irving Dillard
Thought you'd appreciate this.

Isnt it amazing that we have been saying for a few months now that there was going to be a conflict in the Middle East this summer? I know I said the US was going to invade Iran this summer, but seems like they are using Israel to do the dirty work. Israel will probably invade Syria because they say Syria is providing Hezbollah with rockets, but if they do, than Iran is jumping in. Then boom the US is in!!
Damn we're good!!

The seemingly inevitable invasion of Iran and Syria is exactly why I think the US has built all the military bases in Iraq.
It factors into what is called the Force Ration. And that is only one factor in an entire set that our military uses to determine whether it can win a war.
And they are now saying more troops are needed in Iraq to fight insurgents, should this be true, I would think it careless to then invade another country further streching our Military strength.
However I am not convinced this is actually the case. Seems reasonable to me to consider that the extra troops are being sent in order to invade Iran and Syria. I would also look at a draft being instilled should we actually get involved with this.
Peace.
