Then there's a few root pics and then the final outcome of the re-potting.
Thanks guys ......................................... love mand xxx:)
Mand, is it true that you dont use a fan? How does the plant support the bud without falling over? Im asking this because Im growing another 4 lows, and when the males appear (if any, but Im sure theyll arrive) Im gonna pull them and germ another couple, and with 5 or 6 females I wont have any space for a fan.
Is there a breeze coming in from somewhere in your growroom?
How about a bit of young meat? 18 young enough for ya? :pQuote:

Hi Mand, Hope you're feeling better. Work makes me sick too...HA!
Have you ever thought of planting in the size of the second pots first? Would be interesting to see what they would look like if they had had more room for the roots. Maybe no difference, but it seems like more room wouldn't have hurt them any. Course who am I to suggest such drival to the Master.
Also, since 'runty' looks to be in bad shape (as compared to the others) why don't you fert more to see if it brings it around? Be like an experiment! The two grows I did the first one (two males) grew like crazy and I was fertilizing them like a crazed first timer! Mega doses and they were some very impressive plants. 2nd grow, I listened to the experts and didn't give them hardly anything. Had major problems with dying leaves and subsequent leaf drop. Since then have learned that they were starving! Just thought 'ol Runty might benefit from some special care. But I know you don't like to mess with them once they're in the dirt!

Hello Swizzy :), I have actually been thinking of putting a fan in there but I'm affraid that's as far as I get .................... "thinking about it" :o .
The stems always seem to grow thick enough and support is never really a problem. Although at first there is a certain amount of streching, nothing to worry about though as this soon stops and the plants "fill out" more.
The ventilation Swizzy, is basiclly none exsistant in the growroom, it's a small 6 x 6, brick out building with no air bricks or anything. However when the weather is ok I do leave the door open in the daytime.
Hmmm the "Toyboy" idea, well I havent quite made my mind up yet :o ................... ethier a strapping young man with plenty of "energy" ;) or some old codger about on his least legs but with a "shed load of money" ;) :)
Hello Marc :) well love I will try for "little runty" but in all honesty I think she isn't going to "stay the course" :( .
I always find that Marc, in every grow there is always the runt, sometimes they survive and go all the way to harvest but to be honest I don't think this one will.
Infact the whole grow says I'm doing something wrong, and I'm just not sure what  . I know the seeds are ok because of how they started, just like they are supposed too, however there seems to be something "not quite right again", some of the leaves are dis-coloured.
I am hoping I have just "frazzled" them a bit and with time they will go right, but I'm not sure :o
The fact is that I've been having such poor luck in the growroom that I wanted to shift into another one but I'm affraid I couldn't wait and have started in here again. Maybe when the weather has picked up I might still move them.
The pots, I'm affraid I will stick to starting them in the small pots ..................... the reason is really quite simple for this. I start them off in the house and the small pots are fine and can be put out of the way, but there is no way I'm going to have those great big bucket type pots hanging around the house.
Anyway Marc I've never worried about the roots to much as I used to grow in pots actually smaller than the ones I use now :o
love mand xxx :)
Oh by the way Swizzy, I just thought I'd give a fan a try, so I've just been and put one in there ;)
Hey there, Mand. How goes it?
Garden's looking lovely, keep up the great work. I wouldn't be too afraid of the leaf discoloration unless it gets any worse, but identifying the possible problem is always a good thing. Again, though, nothing too serious to worry about -- my own plant started out kind of odd; discolorations, droopy leaves, and a couple deformities. In fact, your plants look better than mine did.
All in all, I say you're doing a wonderful job. Keep it up.
Poor little Runty! :sadcrying
Only thing I'll say about the fan is that it'll dry them out quicker, so you need to watch that. But from everything I've seen Mand you've never had a problem with the plants to warrant worrying about their stems being stronger than they ever have. I had fans in the room going at all times but it was only to control the heat. Keep the air moving around a little. But it was in a far smaller area than what you're using.
As far as another 'problem' with this grow? If you've done well with most other grows, and all of a sudden you're having some problems with the last few, I'd be thinking something in your compost if everything else is the same. Makes no sense why you'd be having problems if everything was exactly the same. Which suggests that something isn't. If the water's the same. Room is the same. Lights are the same. It seems that the only variable might be the dirt they're in. I can see where if you throw just about anything in there that would degrade down that some things probably aren't the ultimate growing substrate for plants. I don't know what those might be unless they were acidic, such as orange peels, grapefruit peels, tomatos, stuff like that. If they're changing the pH of the soil then that could be part of the problem.
Or how about your heater? If that's no doubt sucking oxygen out of the room, which is has to be, and also probably kicking out some fumes, that might be something to look at also.
Just brain stormin' Mand! I for sure don't have all the answers.
You have a nice day.
