It gives you bubbles of air in your blood, when the air gets to your brain it kills you from lack of blood and all the co2 and shit from the air gets into your bloodstream, whereas when you breathe only the oxygen gets carried by the blood cells and all the shit gets filtered out lol... so it kills you :)
