Music you least like

I'll meet you halfway by saying that...OK, some classical is alright, like in The Nurse Who Loved Me by A Perfect Circle. The main reason I dislike it is because of the lack of words...which is cool for a little while but I like to listen to good lyrics, too.

And, my ideas about classical music are my opinion...I never stated that I was absolutely right. You'd also have to agree that classical music is the most popular form of music played during or before someone gets stabbed or shot in a movie.:)

The reason for this is because they are whats commonly known as mood setters, Classical is such a blanket term for a wide variety of music.
Mozart was seen as being far too progresive for his time and was slated by the critics, now he is recognised for his innovation.

Personally classical to me is and always will be beethoven , mozart etc the great "composers", I usually call the "movie classical" ambient. And to be honest I love em both not hate em (in fact I believe i pointed out in my earlier post that I did like classical.) Pachabel's canon in D minor is some of the best music ive ever heard.

I can't stand most rap in general... I don't mind giving it a chance, but I've never found any that appealed to me.

I'm generally not a fan of country, Johnny Cash being the only exception. He was wonderfully talented.

The one thing I hate most though is the wannabe pop-punk bullshit... Blink 182, Sum 41, Newfound Glory, Good Charlotte, the list can go on and on... I don't hate it cause it's trendy, I hate it because the music itself tends to be generic and lacking in talent, the lyrics tend to be adolescent (sp?) and whiny, their voices drive me crazy... and as much as I hate to sound like an elitist ass, I hate how they represent themselves as punk. I mean, I love punk, but I don't stick to one genre (Rancid is my favorite band, and Gary Jules is a close second, so that should give you an idea of the variety I like)... but really, those worthless little fucks give punk a horrible name.

The funny part is, it seems to be a lot the same for rap. I always said I hated rap, then a friend of mine who really liked it pointed out that he hates most of the mainstream, MTV sort of rap as much as I do... but that's what gets represented to the world as rap. I've found that other rap stuff, while not appealing to me, doesn't really bother me either. I guess it applies to punk too, in that aspect (a mainstream wannabe group giving the actual thing a bad name).

And uh, sorry, I didn't mean to ramble so much. Been eatin' too many hydros and had a few too many drinks... ;-)

I hate Metal,pop punk,pop, most Rnb&Diso.
i do like some rap(mostly cypress hill-red&meth)(but even them have work to do and could do bater).mostly listen to drum&bass tho.

I can't stand Christian Rock. It's horrible, evil music.

And I can't help but laugh at modern rap. It's hilarious.

I feel your pain. I used to hang out with a guy who listened to nothing but Eminem and 50 Cent. I wanted to stab my ear with a pencil whenever he put that crap on.

lol clevemire do what I do my buddy didnt listen to anything but eminem, guy has a good job(so he can afford losing a cd) and it was pissing me off because it was always my stereo (we've got a weird friendship we never get pissed no matter either of us do) he was playing it in so I picked out his cd and threw it 12 stories out my window!!! I said there now go catch the mighty white surburbanite faker now....( I hate eminem with a passion wow he can rhyme so can my 4 year old nephew....) although 50cent ill give his due not because I like his music but anyone who got shot that many times deserves some money ;)
