I reckon;
Jesus was an arab looking dude and all his preists sat around fuming bales of "incense" and having really profound thoughts, rubbin oil on their foreds etc. Hotboxin the temple article in high times was great.
I read the bible cover to cover as a lad in uniting church i was brought up in (only slightly scarred and moderateley betrayed) and it scared the fuck out of me. Revelation was the weirdest thing ever. Ive never seen shit that weird on any trip.
All the blood of christ, crucify, slay the lamb etc. No wonder i ended up into death/rage/destroy/blood music.
And my mother thinks it was the drugs... :D
What actaully scared you? I can't understand what you are saying.
I totally agree with you about the hotboxin'.
As for Jesus tuning water into wine, that's bullshit. That is a metafore (SP?) for the fact that wherever jesus went, the people around his started feeling intoxicated, even though they had not drank alcohol. His godly power was so strong that it emminant from every cell in his body.
so god gets people fucked up.
it honestly depends on your frame of mind... If you already have a realationship with jesus and you know him in your heart, then the effect definately feels like heaven (nirvana), nothing but peace and love. However if you have not accepted jesus as your personal saviour, then it's more like fear. If you are a worshipper of demons then it will have a negative affect on you and surely you could die.
The spirit is fealt slightly at concerts and stuff... when the rockers are all doped up and singing with all their passion. The croud surely can feel the effects. Much like Elvis, he had some spirit in him.
Have you seen any of those big religious concerts where people are going crazy for jesus... shaking and shit, like an epileptic attack... I've seen that. Those people are strange.
hahah no shit dude. I want to go to one of those and crowd surf.
i hate that kinda shitQuote:

I'm not saying if you worship demons you are going to die, in general. I say that if you wotship demons and you happen to bump into Jesus on the corner, and he's buzzin' with the holy spirit of fire, then when you feel it you will not be able to handle it and you will die.
Like the only way you can handle a full flooding of the holy spirit is if you know god, and recognized that he is all, then it would just be a MAJOR life changing event for you.
Do I make more sense... I don't know if the person would really die... To be honest, most people are so confussed about god that they might even say they worship demons, but when it's all undressed and you know what's it their heart... they have deep down really loved god all that time and didn't really realize it. Meaning I'd say most of the so called demon worshipers are just lying to themselves and the world about what they really honestly and truely believe.
Back to the topis of the post... I know that God wants you to do whatever it takes for you to love him, period.
Many times, the problems and sin of this world cloud and seperate people from realizing gods grace. I say to you that if he is on your side, you can handle anything in life.
