It took me a little by suprise but I guess the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
I was more in favour of Obama simply because the warmongering of Bush has made me view McCain as an extension of the sort of foreign policy that is making America a lot of enemies worldwide.
Congratulations to everyone who survived the popularity contest of America.
As well, congratulations on picking the next nail in the coffin for freedom.
Each president has been a single nail, and y'all just elected ANOTHER one.
Get a grip on reality, come to terms with personal responsibility, govern yourselves for a change.
Let cause and effect reign supreme, not guns and jail cells.
Bottom line is whoever gets elected, there will always be people who will complain. You can't please everybody. Unless... Stinkyattic/Image Reaper 2012 Can't wait for that ticket! :D

a community where it is illegal to grow hemp could be neighbors with a community where it is manditory.
THAT IS FREEDOM.
We cannot have freedom in a system such as that which is established in america.
Obama said he would decriminalize all across the USA. Now lets just hope he was telling the truth and not just blowing smoke.

Haha, the bitterness is palpable. Obama is a centrist, not a communist. He will return taxes to where they were during the Clinton years. Stop listening to Hannity and Rush.
Congrats America. The world is on your side again. Have a great party! :D:D:D
YAY AMERICA! there was way more excitement about the US election in vancouver than the canadian federal election a few weeks ago...there is a general feeling that america will be turning a corner or two...BUT it wasn't really a landslide for obama...i don't know exactly what the popular vote was but i think votes for mccain were pretty close to votes for obama (48% voted for mccain? that's amazing!)
to the poster who questioned obama's foreign policy plans:
obama is going to *gradually* pull troops out of iraq...iraq's government congratulated obama, and said that they were optimistic that obama was someone with whom they could form a partnership (which they apparently don't have with the current president)
obama is going to double the troops in afghanistan...the taliban have suggested that obama is someone with whom they could negotiate...WOW! imagine a president that could end a war with words...i hope that is possible
he's got to close guantanamo and it's kangaroo court...everyday that shithole remains open is a stain on america...he's also got to close the US concentration camp in iraq ASAP, and recriminalize torture/kidnapping...there is so much for obama to undo before he can even start doing things...he woke up this morning with the responsibility to change the world on his shoulders...that's a hard task (not made any easier by the current guy in the white house)
:D:D:D
I betcha he's like "now what, wtf did i just get myself into":D j/kQuote:
