I'd love to learn more about this, as it's something I'm really interested in. Any hints where I could start?Quote:

I started with a BS in fisheries and wildlife conservation and a summer job at a hydroponic pesticide free commercial scale basil production facility. Then went to Alaska to work in the fishing industry. Keeping a balance between taking what you need and leaving enough to sustain the environment for another season is important, and working in the food production industry was eye-opening. I've also worked at several restaurants (back of house, with the exception of a 9 year part-time bar manager stint) and have the interest in food. It just seems like it all comes together, and this site has really honed my practical indoor growing skills enough that I feel confident about year-round indoor crop production even in New England.Quote:

I too am in college, going for my network administration/information technology degree....I also work part time for one of the largest banks in the US....It pays decent, but I really, *really* hate the job I do...Im a collector, lets put it that way :(
On the plus side, I am pretty much guaranteed a job with the economy the way it is!
Off to study for my Cisco final....*sigh*
Worked as a full-time bus boy for 7 months after High School.... HATED IT.. decided to be self employed. Now working as a logger doing small jobs that big companies don't do.
That TV show Axeman, I do that, but there is just 1 of me, instead of 6-8 on the work site.
I was very lucky my father knew how to run a company and take care of equipment. I wouldn't be doing this today if he didn't have the tractor, cat, saws that I use today(My father has started and sold both company's and now lives worry free)
There is nothing that I know of better than the sound of a 200-400 year old giant falling. I personally think that logging needs a new route in how we built our houses or general uses of wood, but for now, Im glad i am able to experience it cause in another 2 generations all they will be cutting down is tree farm trees the width of normal car tire.
Oh and I replant and don't clear cut. Also sell firewood on the side, and send semi rotted trees to be turned into sawdust(Which is more money than actual trees sometimes because of the current market being pretty terrible.)
and unban my other account, it was up @ 4/25
If i let you know what i do i would have to kill you, so i wont tell
