Haven't fallen for that since grade two when the teacher told me if I admitted to stealing this kids 'tazo' she would make this go a lot more easy. I guess by 'easy' they mean, 'won't have to argue for half an hour'.
Anyway, to people saying that you should just be nice and polite etc. I would only do this if the cop is nice in the first place. Mainly because if you are just looking to get yourself off the hook, you are ONLY getting yourself off. There's still millions more people just like you who need to get let off, and by protecting your rights you are fighting for them as well. And also for yourself when you get pulled over again.
Think about it, if everyone just covered their own asses and cowered in fear of the almighty popo, do you think politicians would ever even think about legalising weed? No, because nobody would even put forward the idea.
Got pulled over by this cop with my friend driving. It was the night before the last day of year 12. We were going to fuck up the school. This cop pulls us over even though there were like 2-3 other cars of people who had already fucked the school up and were now bailing. This guy is a total asshole! Comes up and says "what the fuck are you doin round here?"
"Just driving mate"
"Where you going to?"
"home"
"Why are you out here?"
"we just went to get some coke(drink lol)"
"Stop being fucken smartasses and tell me what the fuck you are doing"
He clearly wanted us to admit we were trashing the school. so I chimed in with
"nothing, we got some drink and we're going home, now we're not doing anything wrong! and stop swearing at us" haha
"Can you breathe into this" lol I know I got him off that topic now and he just wants to bust us for something so my friend breathes into the breathalyser thing, dunno if you have em in america, just tests your blood alcohol content.
He takes our names and lets us go.
By the way we had spray cans and rotten eggs and all heaps of shit but when they flashed their lights all we did was slow down, turn down the next street while subtly pushing the bags of stuff under our seats, then pull over. It also takes them a while to get out of the car most times. And it did this time so we had an opportunity to get it all hidden. They put their headlights on full beam so you have to kinda not move your body and just put your arm close to the side of the seat or wherever your hiding your shit.
Anyway that probably made no sense but I just wanted to share some thoughts. Give a bit of advice etc. This is a good thread keep it alive.

Most judges will look at the case and side more with the cop rather than the constitution unfortunately because the fact is most people who are up there in the legal system are against pot. Its possible to win that case but it would be incredibly difficult to do it....I mean you'd have to have a lawyer like OJ's to win something like that. If your not afraid to get a criminal record then it would be important to stand up to it but like a lot of good citizens in this World we have a hell of a lot to live for than loseing some of those rights. I would only fight for something if it heavily violated my freedoms. For instance, if I called the cops because someone stole my money and the cops beat the shit out of me because I bothered them, then I would go up in a riot and most certainly risk my own freedom and life for it but risking your life for this is like risking your life when someone stole 30 dollars from you. Its better to just be submissive about it.
wise words

i for one, drive far far better when im dirty or intox and try to follow all rules i know... that gives u the best layer of protection: Don't do shit to have a cop on your ass! drive @ speed limits, lower music in neighborhoods or vacant/silent streets, have your lights/stickers and tires checked routinely, if u feel u r swerving out of control just pull over, find something to eat and that will just kill the high instantly! then get on

the first cop ever to pull me over was one of these non-nazi guys hahaha I felt so good about the encounter i had since he said "boy, I can smell the alcohol from your mouth" and i wasn't even 21 plus i was driving @ 4 am and 5 miles or so over speed limit... i ended up passing the soberity test, and nothing on me with a clean record, so he came to my car and told me i can go... was lucky he didnt force me on a breathalyzer cuz i didnt know at the time i can say no to that as well!!
to me after buncha google searches, it means that he knows u have smoked/drank something and thus u r under its effect, but since u passed the soberity test and they "searched and found nothing" it was perhaps no good use of his time and systems time to process u when they aint got anything legally against u
i think this will explain it better: there is a legal limit for alcohol in system and driving... however if u are below the legal limit, u will be considered impaired but not fully intoxicated

good stuff here! if not on here already, "ask ed mj law-dont get busted" great book, highly recommend it, stuff we all know, but its good to go over every once in awhile! my tip----never admit to anything!, a good lawyer can help you GREATLY! if busted and you don't have money, don't be afraid call a few lawyers and see if they can work with you, example; i know of a similar situation where a guy got some great help from a 'good honest one lol' in exchange for landscaping!

being aware of your rights is important, but what you must also be aware of is the fact that a police officer can arrest you for a whole number of things perfectly legally. In my profession as an EMT, i have had patients who NEEDED to go to the hospital but refused where a normal patient would. to give you an idea it was something along the lines of "you understand that leaving your medical condition untreated or unchecked could have severe consequences including death" in other words it was clear that he will die if he didnt go to the hospital. a police officer had arrested the man under 51-50 stating that if he agreed to the fact that he will die, he is mentally unstable and a danger to him/herself and was arrested and taken to the hospital. police have much more legal authority than most people realize. and what that officer did was perfectly legal.in the same way you can be arrested for trying to commit suicide, you can be arrested to agreeing that you will die if you dont go to the hospital because its suicide.

Obama supports cannabis decriminalization, but now that he's taking down Hillarytron and has a chance of winning he's toned it down and actively supports medical cannabis alone. None of the candidates that might actually get elected will be better than that. And frankly, even acceptance of medical cannabis is a shit ton better than what we've got now. Baby steps is the way to win.
I know he's not Ron Paul, but RP didn't have a chance of being elected. Just saying the truth we all know... for whatever reason, it wasn't gonna happen, now or ever. Realistically speaking, Obama's the next best choice.
I'm a chemical engineer. I can say that if you wrap pot in plenty of zip lock bags, the mass diffusion rate of pot through the bags will be too low for anyone to smell it. You might want to consider putting wrapped pot inside a bag full of water or something, and maybe freezing it too... never tried that though, but I'm pretty sure it'll work. Chemistry is fun!
The better choice here would be to leave it at home, or take a tiny bit you can swallow... like other people said. I really liked the video though, but I doubt a cop will take kindly to anyone
asserting their rights.
what you can also do is vacuum seal you marijuana. i've done this and can vouch that it DOES work. I had recently gone on a 12 hour flight (ugh..) and i took 2 MMJ edibles with me. i had vacuum sealed them and put them in my carryon with a couple of chips and other snacks for the flight. it didnt set off any alarms for the woman behind the xray or the drug dogs because it looked like snacks for the flight to the woman and the dog couldnt smell them through the vacuum seal. i dont know about how good those ziploc vacuum bags are but i used a vacuum sealing machine from where i used to work.
