One of my buddies from college has a 1979 Camero and he got clocked doing 165, the cop got a "picture" of him, and all that was in the picture was a big red blur

120.. I was in the car, not driving.
One of the most dangerous things i've done - the guy was using cruise control and didn't have his feet anywhere near the pedals, he was steering with his elbows and.. yup.. pissed as well.

You ask the question "where did you get that impression?", like im stupid, when you dont even realise that German cars are limited. Look at the specs of any new Audi, BMW and Mercedes and you will see non of the top speeds are above 155MPH.
No, if I was trying to insinuate that I thought you were stupid, I would come right out and say it. However, there are American cars that have either mechanical or electronic limiters on them as well. They are quite easy to bypass, as long as they are sold with the limitations, thats all anybody cares about.

Im sure that the fastest bike in the world has a 0-60 of around 2.5 seconds.
Perhaps i was wrong it may be more like 3 seconds, i've never timed it. But think about it a bike dyno at 178hp weighing 420lb full tank can accerlate hard. I would challange any road car to a 70 mph roll-on. Hell im still in first gear at 70mph.
Ok i just want to share my biggest rush on a bike. Taking off at the drag strip full lean on tank while slowing rolling on the throttle. The trick is keeping the front tire just floating no more than 1/2 inch all the way up to 100 mph redline. Just as the tach hits 12k rpm i crack the throttle and the bike launches forward and starts pulling the front about a foot off the ground. Grab second and hang the tire still about a foot and grab third for a short wheelie then finally staying down long enough to grab fourth. Well thats 9.9 seconds and 150 mph of the most fun possible, uh except sex.
