Like i said, come to my gaff and see how you like it - you wont.
Dont ever call me a mug, unless you want to start an argument - in which case im ready to win.
Now, if you've got any sense you'll leave it, like i'm going to.
Norfolk is so unbelieveably chilled, the police don't really care about weed that much, or the free raves that go on every weekend. I like it.
I don't think I ever really want to move back to London, as much as I like some aspects of it, it's just too sketchy now..
When/if i do move i'll be living in wrox - you can come to my gaff and smoke up.Quote:

I live in a town of about 10,000 people. When I first moved to this town, 30 years ago, there was 2,500 people. I've seen a lot of changes. The crime is not bad, I guess. We have 1-2 murders a year now. We have a lot of thieves around here though. Every time I accidentally leave my car unlocked some jackass goes in to it.
This is one of the towns the So. Cali families come to when gangs get too bad where they are. Unfortunately their kids are really bored up here,(theres nothing to doooooo!!!) and cause trouble.
We have quite a bit of meth-heads, but in a town this size, its easy to pick them out of a crowd. The local po po don't really care if you smoke pot. I smoke all over this town, and never have I gotten in trouble for it.
All in all, I love my little town. I think I will stay! :hippy:
Ah beast, I'll come by river... look for the scull and crossbones, haha...Quote:

I used to live in south Los Angeles. You can get any kind of drugs, guns or sex on the street. I have seen a few people get shot. I now live about 30 miles north of LA in a town of about 1,200 people. It is very quiet here and if I ever miss LA I can be there in 20 minuets.
You completely missed my point. I never in any way said the world was "this happy place were every one is nice to each other and there is no crime." My point is that there would be a lot less crime in the US and we all (including you) would be safer if the government put some serious effort into making it harder for criminals and future criminals to get a hold of guns. The thing is, one of the best ways to accomplish this would be to not allow ANY civilians to buy guns. This might be a hard concept to wrap your head around, but think about it I mean, if the government decided not to allow civilians to purchase firearms and made it a priority to keep firearms off the streets (maybe by diverting funds from being used keeping weed of the streets, and also by introducing MUCH stiffer punishments for buying/selling and possessing firearms), it would be WAY harder for the wrong element to procure guns, period. If it cost five grand, let's say, for some potential criminal to buy a gun on the street instead of a couple hundred bucks, and he knew he'd be facing a ridiculously long jail sentence if he was caught possessing or selling guns, it's not hard to comprehend the fact that far fewer "bad guys" would have guns. Just imagine if, all of a sudden the government decided that possession of any more than a gram of marijuana would result in the death penalty, and they were bringing all the troops back from Iraq to enforce the new laws (horrible to imagine, I know, but hear me out). I'm pretty sure the pot-smoking percentage of the nation's population would probably dwindle pretty close to zero. The same thing would happen if we gave gun possession/sale the same treatment, and I don't think you can argue that this country wouldn't be a safer place if absolutely no one had a gun.Quote:
