weedhound..any chance I could see some of your blue russian pics?
Mark I sent some pics to X-C to send you but I have not seen him around today to ask.....if you like I will post them here. Let me know. ;)
Hey, he forwarded it to me..he only got 2/4 of them for some reason though..go ahead and post them here if you don't mind :thumbsup:Quote:

Hope they aren't repeats.
cool. from the couple pics he sent me it looked kinda sativa, but it looks more indica dominant now that I can see more of the plant.. turn out to be a pretty good smoke, eh? how tall were they when you chopped them?Quote:

and oh yeah, pic #5 is at 5:12am...needed water bad...gonna move to a higher amount of water per each of them now and do it less frequently following the advice of bob :) :stoned:
just don't let them dry out... bb's can be rather unforgiving from underwatering... they bounce back, but it takes about ten days to recover from a bad drought...
yeah, definitely don't let them dry out badly. they felt rather soft when I crashed last night but I didn't think they would need any at least until morning..should've given them some though. I've got a strong conscience for watering...probably too strong, hint the curled up leaves..I'm learning though...thanks to people like all of you, I learn vital things. If it weren't for you, I would be clueless.Quote:

mine deff space out, leaving big blueberry buches, and small cola's. and your spacing is irrelevent. it will perform the same. actually, they may do better super stretched as the individual nodes would get more light.
here's a pic of what you're asking about...
thanks scarlet..I'm hoping for a decent yield..something to get me by for a while. I regret not topping at least one more of them..now seeing how much better it probably will be.Quote:

hmmm, well mark, that's a toughie... i use a 400w mh and a 1000w in flower. under the 1000w, they start at two feet and end up at around 8 inches, no cool tube
the plants under the 400 get as close as two inches, no cool tube, but i have a large room, and the heat dissapates quickly. as far as topping and lst, i do both, but the first time i run a strain, i let it grow naturally... i want to show you this excerpt from greg green's cannabis grow bible concerning bb...
" Depending on the strain and the growing environment, the 'topped' plant may produce two small top colas instead of two big ones. Also, each strain has a threshold for bud production that cannot be improved upon because it is a genetically predetermined factor. On the other hand, some plants when fully grown without topping do not reach their threshold. The strain Blueberry is a good example of this. If you grow Blueberry without topping you won't achieve maximum bud production from that plant, but if you top the Blueberry, you will. Other strains aren't so flexible and the two top colas will simply share the same volume of bud that a single cola would have produced on the same strain."
ahh...thanks a lot scarlet.. I will certainly be doing a few more bb grows before I switch strains I think...it's a wonderful smoke..damn good for pain. I may throw in a couple of other strains sometime but I wanna grow several of these plants just because of my heightened interest in it..Quote:

beleive it or not, you can make monsters of two or three females, i had five with twenty+ main branches, all with their own branches, they completley filled a 3x8x4h cab! topping and tying are nothing but good with bb
Those sure look like some nice buds growing on that limb there Scarlet. Somehow some of those same blueberry seeds ended up at my house so I will be trying a few on my next grow as well.
Mark the russian stuff is very indica. It does terrific with topping but as I learned with my last grow make sure to give plenty of root room. My last grow was also the first time I tried to bend it and lst'ing it was a big mistake with it's short stocky branches. It did not do well with lst at all so I'd probably leave that off it's list if I were you.
Its a great smoke...a good friend of mine who's smoked for about 20 years took one hit off my first batch and said it was the strongest weed he'd ever smoke--one hit wiped him for about 45 min. (I think that also has something to do with smoking fresh-grown weed however......you'll never go back!) and I use it in cookies etc cause I think it's got a great high (although it can get a little couchlock)
Thanks for the report, weedhound..I've been kinda curious what it was like. I was wanting to put some of them outside and may still end up doing so...but there's a freeze warning here this weekend so I'm glad I haven't done it yet..been like 70+ the past couple weeks, some very strange weather.Quote:

flowers are doing well...I expect to see some buds to start forming next week sometime. 8 days into 12/12 now.
Started making flowers...OCD has been getting the best of me with them...they grow nearly before my eyes and I find myself spending hours around them messing..oh well..:)
my topped plant had a few of the lower growth's get big and are just as thick and tall as the top tops...are they going to give me similar results? I know you can identify which one I'm talking about..lol
the other two are untopped but I tried tieing them horizontally as much as I could and it seems to have okay results thus far..
Upon looking them over top to bottom earlier..on one of them I noticed a couple preflowers that made me cringe..didn't look like female preflowers, but not quite male..I don't want any more fucking hermies, I'm tired of it..they really haven't had any constant stress...I hope they stay female completely through and give me lots of pretty flowers to smoke..
I may do another update at the end of the week, I'll probably have better buds then..a bit more developed I'm sure..no bud porn yet..this is all kiddie porn, but they are growing fine :rasta:
Mark how many days are you into flower? Your plants look REALLY good btw....very nice color and lots of good growth. It' probably too late for this grow but I use a product called Reverse (formerly Feminiser by DutchMaster) to combat hermie-ism and have had excellent results with it. Fairly expensive though and you have to use it in the first week of 12/12. Just some cud to chew on. ;)
Now are 12 days into flower. I've heard of similar products to relieve stress and may look into using something for the future. Price isn't so much of a concern as long as the results are promising though...Quote:

My first growing season I started with 80 plants....long story but ended up with about 6 females at harvest.....plus another 5 that were in my hydro set-up. Out of those 11, four of them hermied. Two I was able to pinpoint the reason and two I was not.
My hydro guy recommended this to me.....and he's God in my book so I bought it. Out of my next two grows I ended up with a total of 10 plants....0 hermies. And yes, I stressed them. I never mean to but somehow I always do.
Because I was planting female seeds this grow I asked him if there was anything special I should do since I know they tend to hermie more and he said the only difference was to make sure to use the feminiser (which I do anyway). So something to think about......but too late for this grow.. It's a foliar spray that you spray on your plants on day 1 of 12/12 and then repeat on day 10.
sounds like some good stuff to use..I'll certainly be trying to get ahold of some of it within the next couple months.Quote:

Rub your armpit on them. That always makes me feel womanly.
