Aww, That's just regular Molasses, not black strap molasses!
You can actually eat that! It tastes pretty good. Make some Popcorn Balls! ( Heat your molasses with butter on stove till it thickens a little, add popcorn, roll)
That Black strap Molasses tastes rough! It's the most concentrated, end product of the molasses making process. I read on a site with Three Little Birds(Original Poster) that BS Molasses is supposed to be the most nutritious for your plants. Google "Three Little Birds" and Molasses. Interesting article all about it.
Wonder how popcorn balls would be with cannabutter? Yummy. I'm hungry now...

damn! i think one of them hermied or the male managed to pop a couple of sacks while it was around. i think that those are seeds starting! damnit! any second opinions?
it looks like i have ~50% cloudy trichs. even on the plants where the pistols haven't turned yet! what the hell. what should i do? i want to chop! and now that i'm gonnna have seeds. i need to smoke a blunt!

Shake!
what's the word brotha? haven't seen you much since the big cdot crash.
Your plants are looking pretty tight man!
The dark green/bluish color may be over fert or it may be strain. The white rhino i run has seriously dark green leaves mid-late flower.
Pete has been using that same molasses in his recent flush. he says he sees a big difference and will probably use it throughout the entire flowering phase from now on.
I only use superthrive for clones, seedlings, and youngins. once they are in serious veg i stop using it. Everyone says it will slow your plants down to a crawl in flower.
I saw a thread about demonoid invites...you still got one floatin around for your ol' buddy skeet?
I'd be interested in hearing some of your music. I'm a musician myself. Currently i play in a blues/rock band which i love, but have been listening to and playing a lot of R&B and Soul lately.
thanks bud! good to be back.

okay. here is the pic. maybe that's why the buds on two of the plants are not growing much. and two have massive buds?

pic 1-beans? or swollen calyxes?

Looks hermi for me! That is sad, but wait a bit before you cut it down, IMO.

at least the seeds should be female though right? can i just chop the beans off?

I definetly have those on my gods gift plant that is 6 and a half weeks into flower. Are those gonna pop and seed the whole plant or will i just have a few seeds? Sorry to threadjack.
-
not your ordinary first grow
i think those are the seeds. i'm not sure though. this is my first grow. but seeds make sense because the bud production seems to have slowed down on these two.
-shake
-
not your ordinary first grow
That does make sense because my plants bud production slowed down on the lower shoots (its lst'd). I wouldnt mind 3-4 gods gift seeds though :rastasmoke:

I'm in the same boat as you are folks! Got a female turned hermi here...she's in a closet with a full top shelf female...I don't want the hermi to pollinate my good and strong female! Log for pîcs!

monkey, i tried to comment on you grow log. it kept going to the advanced screen and then the reply box and the additional options box both disappeared.
anyhow, so is that what i should do is pull off all of the male parts? will that help out? make the bud production pick back up? thanks. and i'm gonna read through your log. the ladies looked awesome!

shake, i'm sorry to hear you're playing the crying game. i don't think bud production will pick back up, but yeah, i'd nick the seeds off. save for emergency, and vigilantly watch for the start of any more pollination. then, before your next run, remove every living plant from the area, and spray down EVERY surface with 1:100 water:bleach solution. let stand for a bit, then wipe dry. the water will neutralize any leftover pollen and the bleach is just cause i like the idea of disinfection. best of luck & i hope they're femmed seeds!

thanks golden! i am just trying to figure out what happened. i guess the male must have popped a few sacks before he died. i don't see any nanners. is it easy to tell when the seeds are ripe?
i guess that means that i should go ahead and chop those two.
on a side note, i should be building a bucket today! i need some cat litter so i figured what the hell. why not. and i think some new nutes are in my future. i think i'm gonna go with the fox farm soil trio, and at least the cha-ching. i'm gonna try to convince my wife that i need all three of the solubles too! i found a really good price on the stuff!
i'll update with some pics in a bit. once i take all the ladies out. the other log will be getting an update too.

and golden, are we still gonna make a new troubleshooting form? i think all that we can do the better, seeing as stinky is gone and whatnot.....

i've heard that 2-3 weeks are necessary for viable seeds to be made. never had to deal with it though, so i'm not sure. i'm sure that once they're close to done, the seed pods will start to open up to drop them.
be wary though, don't wanna lose one in the soil! maybe putting down some white paper with a slot cut for the stem to cover the soil. or maybe thats too cautious... i dunno, i'm baked.
kudos on the bucket plans! i've got mine up and running, but i sure could improve it. but i really like the ease of them. a container i have to buy anyway, $12-$15 air pump, some pipe insulation i already have for my bubble cloner, and a $4 air stone. cut holes for the air tubing and the pipe insulation, fill with water, add my canna nutes (they auto pH my water), and bingo! i've made two now, and they each took about 10 minutes to throw together.
i need to lightproof the bucket and lid a little better, but i've been lazy as of late.
best of luck with everything, brother!

good looking gg! i think i'm gonna chop the two with the seeds because it seems that the molasses has caused undergrowth like crazy. and the one is not looking that great up top. i've got to make room soon because the youngsters are growing like crazy. i might just have to learn from the first go round and move forward soon. decisions, decisions!?
i think i've spotted maybe like 5 beans on each of the two plants. i'm gonna inspect more thoroughly in a bit. i've got company at the moment. i'm gonna clean them up, and continue flushing with the molasses added. it seems to be doing wonders! and i'm gonna get the fox farm soil trio and hopefully add the soluble tri-pack soon.
and i guess i'm gonna have to get a bottle of the hydro grow soon too! and more lights. and some fans. it never stops!
-shake
oh, did you see the post about the troubleshooting form? somebody is gonna have to start doing stuff around here with stinky gone!

what's good everyone? i have a few major reportings. the two plants with seeds got chopped! ok, the one that became riddled with seeds and 1/3 of the one that had a few.
the other two ladies look fine (minus the burn on the big one). she has a bud on her that i can't fit my hand around!
i put the other 2/3 of the chopped lady back into flower. just to see what happens. it seems that they loved the molasses! there was tons of new pistils all over the girls.
i'm hoping the others are ready soon. the youngsters are getting restless!

i have no idea. but i'm thinking it might dry out to 3/4 to 1 ounce. just a guess, and that's a non-educated one. this is my first time chopping up a lady so. *crosses fingers*
i'll check out the log and try to comment again.

golden, all is well. and i was working way too much. like 70 hours a week and not seeing my wife. i'll update the other log with all of the mis-adventures that have taken place. thanks for the kind words.
i guess this log should be considered closed for all intents and purposes. it brings a tear to my eye saying that. i remember when i started this little "experiment". i had everything going against me...including the wife. now she would rather me be a hotriculture/botany expert full time than work likea mad man! now that is love! so i guess frank will be getting an upgrade soon! i have a very big cardboard box sitting in the corner of my living room! i'm also starting some magical pizza toppings. that should be fun.

Hope you're making some $$$! On my side, I don't make a lot of $$$ but
I got lost of free time! Workin' 40h/week, always 2½ days week-ends. Lost of time to sit in front of my plants, talking to them.
And sometimes, I sit on the floor in the closet, closing the door, and staring at them like, 30 minutes or so. I got my dose of oxygen, and they got their dose of CO2!!
But I'm a crazy Monkey...
Wishing you a lot of big and beautiful plants dude!!!
Healthy plants!!!
