Just wanted to say...glad to hear the news from the doc.
Been readin your thread and it looks awfully damned YUMMY!!!
Been working my butt off...haven't been on in like forever but wanted to say hi and keep up the magic hound!!!:hippy:
Hey Popa, long time no see......glad to see you back. :)
Wheeze...I would but if we were ever busted they'd count that thing and it probably weighs 8oz all by itself, lol.
Gonna take a pic of the bloom room and post it.....everything we are growing is out of control and we are completely out of space......stuff EVERYWHERE!!!
Well she ain't gettin' any smaller......:D
We're thinking maybe three more weeks......
Jebus weedy! Carrie dwarfs Moses....lol (SWC sounding a looooot nicer:greenthumb:)
Well we came to a point where ALL our grow areas just became overcrowded. We had to make some decisions on what to do because we more plants than lighting areas and no where to put them. :( So we ended up harvesting our big original Haze plant (she was only about 2/3 done) and a few hybrids in soil we had been growing. It KILLS me to throw away perfectly good healthy plants but it was my poor planning that caused the issue in the first place so it's my own fault.
And finally manage to get at least a BIT of control back in the bloom room. :wtf: I sure was sorry to see that Haze plant go but as you can see there certainly wasn't a big yield coming from her anyway.
ya but lots of nice plants left yet. real nice 'uns!
That's some nice looking ladies WH.
Very nice Hound.
Sorry to hear you had to put the axe to those momma's.
Looks very nice....
Funny, I sit here, read these threads and live vicariously through you guys.
:hippy::jointsmile:
Thanks WT, Shov, and Popa. And jd too.....thanks for stopping by the thread.
Well culling some stuff worked well......we just got too out of control for our best interests....which reminds me to say that Carrie will probably be our last "huge plant" for awhile. It's a total blast to aim for something and have fun working to accomplishi it but we need the space for more practical growing these days, boring as that is. So Carrie most likely will be our last "really big" plant........our last aim for greatness. :D
Hey Weedy, IMHO I think if growing trees or a redwood per se, vertical HPS is the closest way of replicating sunlight....I'd actually like to try dabbling in a vertical w/ overhead HPS grow op, to catch that elusive redwood...someday...
Anyways you and the Mr. have got some beautiful plants and some even better skills to boot...nothin' but good vibes from Deez neck o' the woods to you and yours....
Finally back on here a lil bit now thanx to you :)
If everything heals ok I oughta be fine in 12-16 weeks . See the ortho on Dec. 4th , J should be pullin the stitches out any day now .
We appreciate everything .
God Bless Ss .
Crispi :stoned:
check your email. :)
loverly ladies as normall well done:thumbsup:
and its good to be back if missed the place:jointsmile::jointsmile::jointsmile:
Hey xxx, good to see you......another long time no see! Hope you and your family (say hi to princess for me) are doing well. :)
You know d4, that's one of the things I love about the cool tube.....you can turn it any which way to get the light where you want it as long as you have room for the ducting. Get a LOT more light with that than a standard air cooled hood imo.
This strain is in many ways my favorite.....if she would just put out the same kind of yield as the SNL x NH I'd declare her best in show. She has a lovely, LOVELY strawberry smell as she grows and a super buzz.....both head and body.
These girls have done very well since the start and we've done something a bit different with them in that we have topped them several times starting at an earlier age than we were doing. This is something I used to do quite a while back then forgot about......but wish try it at least once to see if we can improve somehow on the many branches we break off due to LSTing. I think both these girls have been topped on three seperate occasions.....hang on; I'll check germ date.......
They were germed from seed on 9/27 so pretty close to two months old. Hopefully they will do their usual nice yielding thing. We've always gotten a pretty good yield from our MK's.....except one that finished in something like 47 days but this is from a different batch. They are, however, not my usual F3 gen seeds  but some actual seed vendor seeds that should be pretty stable.
big ol' tree there!
Nice.. my master kush mom has been delayed from potential cloning.. or I should say I may have to Clone this mom early to make another one. I let her get all stretched out and lanky.Quote:

I'm eagerly awaiting to chop down my SNLxNH especially after seeing your yields. Were the buds pretty dense after it dried or is it more of a light and fluffy? So far it appears to me that the buds are going to be smaller but denser. I'm hoping for 4oz per plant but would be happy with 2oz. :hippy:
Looks great....
It's always a joy to come in, and check your updates, those are some beautiful plants....
If you have some time-energy, could you please take a few shots of Carrie?? I would really like to see those huge buds from closer....
Great in my book foooooo shoooo'
Happy Thanksgiving.
Popa
Damn Weedy is that yard stick in the ASH pic to beat that thing into submission how tall is that one...
I wasn't quite sure what Zeb meant by close ups of the buds so I just took a bunch of shots and let me know which ones you guys like and which ones you don't.
It's a bit early for a lot of trichs on her.....she's still got a fair amount of filling in to do.
All Carrie/Day 56 Bloom
wowowowow Weedy!!!
thats beautifullistic!
and i thought my lil space was full o girls:wtf:
Nice Work!:greenthumb:
OMG...
Thanks Wh, that second batch of pix is exactly what i was looking for....
Those tops are huge, and they look really dense....nice work and thanks again...
Fabulous weedhound,absolutely fabulous...
So our Master Kushs (shown at day 10 bloom in pic one) did iimmediately what the Brainstorms did when we moved them into the bloom room......they took an enourmous jump and frankly I'm sick of LST'ing and breaking off branches etc etc so we're trying some SCROG this grow.
The "screen table" was very easy to make with some extra wood we already had around. The screening itself is 2 inch chicken wire. We may go with smaller screening next time but I felt we were pusihing things as it was since the plants are at approx day 12-13 into bloom already.
We've layed the screen late and MK tends to have firm stems and branches (read: easy to break) so I know there are some broken branches etc that we will need to watch for. Only time will tell how much we've helped or hurt the plants. Next grow we will install the screen BEFORE the plants reach screen height but we were just plain stuck here so just went for it.
We're thinking of possibly going with two scrog screens in the middle eventually which allow better efficiency with the 1kw light. A lot will depend on how much of a success this first SCROG run turns out to be.
PS....Thanks DT. :)
JEEEEEEE-BUS!!! I think I got wood....LOVELY bud pron weedy...rep:greenthumb:
good vibes
And the plants seem to have adjusted quite well already and have turned themselves back toward the light. There ARE some damaged branches etc which I sprayed preventatively with Serenade.....but I don't think there will be many problems or we would have started seeing them right away.
The eventual goal (we think) is to have two seperate scrog screens in the center and then a regular set on each side so that we can keep the light down low.
We're not sure though if we want to use the second SCROG for soil plants or hydro. See with the 400 w on the side it would make sense to SCROG underneath that light.....but wouldn't solve the problem on the other side which has become a jungle (as you can easily see in the last photo of the Brainstorms) and that's when we start losing good exposure to the lighting......especially on the lower branches. Thoughts?
One of my fears would be that if a soil plant needs flushing or something.....and is in a SCROG setup it would be very hard to remove or treat whereas with hydro we can pull and change the nute solution without disturbing the plants.
Thanks WT. :)
That is a nice haul there!Quote:

then u just need to construct a lil framework around-AND SECURED TO your pot and 'viola!, potra scrog.
im actually working on a new design with adjustable canopy which can be raised as the plants develop height. the advantage i'm theorizing is that the plants will be 'screen-friendly' by the time you have to restrict the max height.
should make for an interesting experiment in the next wave.
watch for previews;)
my thought on this is go vertical with the lighting, but in doing this you'd need lights from every angle in that rain forest you got going on...So I can see how the porta-scrog would be a better use of the overhead lighting....Quote:

Crispi :stoned:
i must say you do a great job with everyting you do! Good luck with the scgrog only hope i have the same kind of results you have time after time
Thanks Grass.....that's a very nice thing to say.
Rock...something along that line......but it has to be able to detach from the pot so you can remove it from the pot if you have to. There's a CFL grow log where one guy did a beautiful job with one plant and SCROG......that post gave me the energy to try it.
http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-gr...d-input-2.html
check out this one plant on page two.....totally cool looking.....really made me want to try it.
Weedy,
i gots an idea, but problem is with ur idea of detatching from the pot.
u'll remember this-
portascrog version 2.0 (pvc tubing+ metal fence)
http://boards.cannabis.com/attachmen...e-p1010038.jpg
this was my second prototype portascrog.
heres one of the problem/concerns w portascrog
the frame must be anchored to the pot somehow, because too much movement of the frame or pot, without the other, pulls on the plant violently.
how do i know, it happened.
early on while moving them around the room, the frame swayed hard and almost toppled over, taking the whole plant with it. it woulda been a disaster, probly snapped off at the soilline and killed it for sure.
i quickly caught and restabilized it and learned a quick lesson while my heart was beating in my throat.
if ur considering the need to flush, consider a tub style runnoff setup like this. then u could raise and siphon off excess while flushing, or if u overwater.
of course w hydro, i guess you would just drain out.
but u'd still have the same stability concerns.
i'm offering my limited experiences with having used a couple portascrogs already.
i think the new one (version 3.0 coming soon) will be the best one yet.;)
