Most overrated band?

this is just a great way to start an argument, it doesnt matter what bands you think are overrated. just listen to music that you like...

You haven't made a logical arguement, not in this thread. You're only arguement was you saying Nirvana has stories in their songs. You never brought any evidence to the table, but you probably can't.

Sonicbloom, your music is soooo boring and monotonis, atleast your clever pirate song is. Your lyrics are soooooooo much better than nirvanas, i mean, how could someones lyrics that accualy make you think to understand and relate to them be better than someone whos lyrics are so blatantly obvious that a 4 year old could understand them. I mean, if your making music in the first place wouldnt you want it to be for the people who appreciate music and not any douche who has a computer?? ide rather listen to pink floyd then visit your myspace ever again.

Why can't someone have an opinion without a hread turning into a pissfest? I don't get it.

Pink Floyd are really not super duper great in my eyes either. I like a few of their songs, every once in awhile, but other than that, I find their music boring and it makes me sleepy. They don't have much dimension. You can pick out a Floyd song 2 seconds in because they all sound the similair.

As for Nirvana, sure Cobain had a few songs that maybe didn't mean much, but music doesn't have to have deep meaning and thought to make it good. It doesn't have to complicated and a billion notes per song. It's the melody and his voice that I liked so much. He had a voice like no other.

Floyd is just so *zzzzzzzz* slow and dreary music (despite a few songs).

Everyone loves them and I can't really get into them, therefore, I feel they are overrated...

And don't go throwing a bunch of Tool songs to download at me, cuz I know their shit...

i think any band can be overated by anyone person, one person may swear by another band as i may not. its all about taste... i just enjoy listening to music whoever it be.

I never called you stupid, and of coarse Nirvana is one of my influences, I already said several posts ago that I was an avid Nirvana fan in my past.

Here's a tip for you two though, if you want to try and own me, which you'll never be able to do, you should start with legible posts. That is, if you can handle it.

I could rattle off bands that would make any floyd fans drop a steamer in their pants, however not everyone should know about these bands, especially if you dont have a deep, passionate love for music as a whole.

But what the hell, why dont i spark up a bowl and go listen to Darkside of the Moon. Again. like omFG Da BellLZzz In Tyme R BuGgInnnNN...
