I ask this kid, "this isnt just another wanabee indie band is it??" and he was like "naa man, these guys are gunna be the next big thing. there extremely tallented", seeing as how he himself was a musician i decided to give it a whirl. GUESS WhAT MAN??? 4 palm muted power chords, eventually followerd by whiny lyrics about his girlfriend. A louder chorus with harmonized lyrics. hmm how individual, simply peachy.
i used to like (when i was like 12) some of this underground "indie" music. the only ones i can remember off the top of my head were Audio Karate, and Saosin(before they got fameous). anyway, i quickly grew out of this genre when i realized everyone was doing this "Indie" music, and suddenly it wasnt independent anymore.
anyway my final point im trying to make. i dismiss all of this panic! at the disco my chemical romance greenday good charolitte fall out boy as tall as lions shit because it all sucks. even dookie.
i got much love for most types of music though dont get me wrong.
how can u ahte on them? they are not douche bags compared to most of the bands already mentioned. greenday, fall out boy, nirvana, nickelback, the beatles, and all emo music are the ones that suck the biggest balls of all.Quote:

don't forget, it started as a movement, and an extremely powerful one at that. Don't condemn the truly talented for unwillingly spawning these ridiculous trends. Credit is due where it's due.
As for myself, I can't stand most RnB. It gets worse and worse by the day. The music gets dumber and the lyrics follow suit. Hip hop is unfortunately following in suit. I remember when you were able to break down mainstream hiphop intellectually, when it stood for something. Now it's all riches, bitches, bling and just plain fucking MADE UP WORDS.
Any emo band.
