Not wanting to associate with people because of their attitudes and way they carry themselves is in no way ignorant. But to simply discount all other races/ cultures, stating "I have problems with people from other backgrounds and cultures" most certainly is. I'll admit I have absolutely no desire to hang out, or even come into contact, with a bunch of thug looking black guys. But that doesn't mean I am going to avoid blacks all together. And, I wouldn't want to hang out with a bunch of thug looking white guys either.
