I don't know about the US, but in the UK, there was a console out called Commadore Amiga. That was better (in some ways) than the ATARI.

Ah man reading that made me sad.
Haha I remember Kenan and Kell, All That, Clarissa Explains it all, SNICK, airwalks, street hockey, recess that lasted what seemed hours, exploring the woods, playing on the swingset in my backyard and seeing who could jump the farthest, Happy Days, Figure it Out, Nerf, and so much more.
This should be a stickey thread.

We used to get our snowclothes on when school was closed, stand on the corner, and grab onto cars' bumpers/spoilers and "ski" down the road. Very dangerous...do not try this at home. You might lose a limb...
Also, of course we had snowball fights (beware of the ice-filled snowballs - f*ckers), snow football, etc.

Who remembers the Adventures of Pete and Pete? That show pretty much shaped me into the man I am today. That and Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

     i was so pissed when they stopped playing pete and pete.... i remember the episode about the time change where they said you could take back one whole hour of your life and live it over again, and i remember the hoover dam trip, and the fourth of july one, where littler pete gets grounded, but that's not gonna keep him in, he tunnels his way through his room and out through the yard, but ends up getting caught anyways and the one where one of 'em (think the younger one) tries to break the guiness book of world records for staying awake the longest, and ends up passing out like just hours before breaking it... lol... i loved that show :( that was my fav show...

What an awesome thread! I was born in the early 80's and grew up in the 90's. In the 90's was the first time I got drunk, smoked weed, lost my virginity. I listened to grunge music like Nirvana, Peal Jam, Mudhoney, Tad, Alice in Chains, and in the 90's was the first time I heard Pantera, which turned me in a whole different direction of music.
I remeber watching Alf, Growing Pains, Cosby Show, Astro Boy, Inspector gadget, and of course the Simpsons, when they were at their prime, and when Bart Simpson said Hell or Eat My Shorts on TV, it was considered a bad influence on kids. When the word Motherfucker was said at least 30 times in a Snoop Dogg song. Rapping out 40's, Endo, and smacking hoes around. :p
Computers and technology changed so much since the 80's, and in the 90's, it was like a Technology Revolution or something.
I loved the 90's, espeically losing my virginity to my first, junior high GF. She was damn hot! And we fucked like rabbits. It was awesome. :p
Invisable Cola was discovered, and Jolt soda drinks that would get me so wound up. Candy nerds, blue whales, gobstoppers, and pixi sticks.
