The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Trip should be required reading for anyone on this board. Pretty much a true story about the San Francisco acid scene in the late '60's and the "Acid Test" parties that gave rise to bands like Jeffereson Airplane and The Grateful Dead.
Currently I'm reading The Extravagant Universe written by one of my professors (quite interesting too), but a really good book to check out is The Big White Lie. It's an eye-opener. I think it's written by Michael Levine, but correct me if I'm wrong.
The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene isn't bad either. Currently reading Coldheart Canyon (Clive Barker) and Cell by S. King. REALLY, REALLY REALLY waiting for The Book of the Dead by Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child (May 30!), C'mon Eli Glinn--Bail A.X.L. Pendergast from jail!!!
just finished the Giver for the second time since high school.
thinking about reading Brave New World again.
Currently in the beginning of The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty for the seventh time.
