Who cares.
that's a pretty assanine statement.... his age has nothing to do with this topic period... there's absolutely no reason why he can't know just as much about the govt. and living situations ect. ect. as a 40 yr old...... not to brag, but i've known people who're alot older then me, went to, and graduated college, yet they don't know near as much as i do, and i've not even graduated high school... to a certain extent age is just a number, it's how one applies thyself that builds the intelligence, and knowledge, especially on topics such as this, not age...Quote:

I do plan on trying to change it, Polymirize. You threw down the challenge, like you always do, and I'm taking you up on it.Quote:

(I'm being very sarcastic) Well, when you have a group of good people together, just living, there are no problems. Zero, zip, nada, zilch, the big 0. No problems.
Introduce one person who decides to steal instead of working for his living, and the family he or she steals from will band together and probably kill him.
Now, a group of thieves rally around a particular strong thief or bandit or whatever. Mind you, what history teachers tell you is all the generally accepted scientific standpoint. Were any of them there at the time? No. Is there a written record? No. It's all guesswork. Anyway, this GROUP of thieves or robbers or whatever can and will terrorize a peaceful group of nomadic people without a problem. So, what do the peaceful do? They band together for protection. Then they start making permanent homes, and need ways of building on to their permanent area...I think you all get the picture.
Next, I do not like any form of control over people. Government or otherwise, I don't condone it. An individual is an individual and has every right to do what they will. If they make life harder on other people, then those other people should take the matter in to their hands. Anarchy, and it's cruel, but people learn a lot better about being nice to each other if their neighbor is going to be the one coming at him with a shotgun, not some judge who's going to send him away for a little while.
Yes, I am 15. But I don't just sit here spouting off about things I don't have clue one about. I know how government works. I have for a long time, and if you think my age is some sort of hindrance, nay, a flaw of mine, fuck you. I have no control over my date of birth, nor do you. Now shut up.
It's not money in and of itself that is at fault. People should be allowed certain things freely. The fact that we withold food, shelter, clothing, communication, and education from people because they can't pay for it is complete bullshit. And making people who can pay for it is bullshit, too. It is my firm belief that people should be given the necessities of life without worrying about having to give something back. That's just basic human compassion. Probably a billion people are dying because they don't have money to pay for food. Not that there's a shortage, because there isn't. These people are basic people who can't afford food or even land to grow food on. They're usually lucky enough to have a tiny little hut they built themselves to keep themselves from the cruelties of nature.
I feel like I'm forgetting something...
Religion...the "light of our lives"...I never said that spirituality, or looking to God for inspiration is wrong. I said organized religion is. People don't need to be bullied in to being nice to each other. That is basically what most religions do. Buddhism is my favorite religion of those I have looked at, simply because it basically says "Do what you will, but expect to pay for what evil you have done to others". It acknowledges that we all have the choice to do what we want, but also tells us being mean to each other is bad. A great philosophy, in my opinion.
That wasn't what I was forgetting, though >.<
Now I remember.
There is no true democracy in this world at the moment. We, America, who so proudly claim to be a democratic nation, are actually classified as a democratic oligarchal republic. No joke. People with lots of possessions have a greater say in government (don't even try to debunk that) and we democratically elect people to make decisions for us, most of the time without us even knowing what's going on.
The last true democracy was Greece. 400 people chosen at random every couple of years formed the Senate. If someone had a problem, they took it to the Senate and hade a vote. If the Senate vetos the notion, the person can ask for mor people to come and help. That's as much as I can remember about their government, but it was closer to a democracy than we are now. A true democracy would call for a nationwide election before doing ANYTHING.
Anyway, if you agree with me, great. If not, great. It's your choice.
SOOOO MUCH TO READ....
weed = philosophising = strong opinions = disagreements = conflict = war. let's all give up weed for good!
you know whats scary, the fact that hitler came to power through the "wonderful" system of democracy. This is scary for two reasons. 1st it shows how huge of an error we are capable of making as people. Secondly it show that through democracy some crazy single minded asshole like the dude who started this thread can gain as much power as they want.
Nice to know you think I'm like Hitler, 123456...
In an anarchy however, one person or conglomerate eventually gains enough power to assume leadership by force, taking things full circle. The problem is, it's impossible to ensure equality under an anarchist system. Also, on organized religion, some do find the need for spiritual guidance and a community via a church, mosque, etc. It's also completely voluntary, and not necessary for religious beliefs. You can't deny that organized religion does wonders for charity and the homeless. Just think of it as a community of willing participants who come together in the faculty of spiritual enlightenment.
For the record, I'm not trying to flame you or piss you off, back when I was 15 I was exactly like you. (Not ment to patronize.)
