Yes it is completely safe to order HPS on line. They are used for all kinds of things...not just tomato plants. Also, keep her dry to where she almost wilts like you did before. That will force even more trich formation and push her genetic potential.
Resin protects from bugs and heat stress and dry climatic conditions.
If you just gave her more light of the red wave type, whe will benefit.
Get a 150W incandescent bulb or two on her till your HPS gets here. Keep a fan on the lights to keep it cool.
Plants like her are worth a fortune and you will remember her for the rest of your life...or regret for the rest of your life NOT getting her to be what she should ahve or couldhave been.
As for testing...well I dont do that personally. Its a waste.....and remember even a "TEST" bud should be dried and cured to really see how she performs....by the time you do that, the flower will be harvested anyhow.
If you just want a cheap quick high, go ahead.....but I find the fun in resisting the temptation to snip snip and snip.
Good luck and nice plant.
I've finally ordered a 400w hps kit from canadianwholesalehydroponics.com
how far away do you figure she is from harvest? I can't fix the problem with the dying fan leaves and I'm worring that the plant's flowers are gonna die too.
She has been flowering for 30 days which isn't long considering i'm using cfl's.
I'd also like say that I'm gonna miss HARDDON, this site won't be the same without him. I wish he would have been here for all of my grow
Hps Has arrived and is now hooked up in my closet,
about how far away should it be from the tops of the plants? (right now 18in with a fan blowing across the tops to keep them cooler)
wat happened to hardon.hes a legend
18 inches is to far.. bring dat shit DOWN!! IF you have air blowing between the light and your canopy you should ba able to bring the light within a few inches...
do the hand test... if your hand can stand the heat, so can the plants.....
and NOW you know
i love you

GN.....how can u love me? I barely know you :o
ps. I love u too ;)
That hand test is brilliant. That'll help me a ton :) Thanks GKn :)
your hand can stand more heat than a plant, so don't overdo it
