Can't you call a more central police station, or a sheriff or whatever you have if the local cops wont do anything?

Cops where I live (Indiana) are DICKS. Well...almost every single one of them. Like, when my mom called the cops on me for smoking weed in the house, the cops that came here were DICKS. My mom knew one of them personally, used to be an old friend, so he just sorta stood there and said he was disappointed. The other two played the good cop bad cop.
The old guy was the good cop, this young guy was the bad cop. Telling me that smokin' the dope leads to brain damage (bad cop said that his friend is now mentally retarded for life for smoking the dope) and it ruins lives. The bad cop said how "I don't wanna piss him off, ya hear me, buddy?" I was like, 'Yeah, okay. Get out my house and be quick about it.' They wrote in the report that I tried to beat up my mom by holding her wrists for 20 seconds saying Calm Down. They tried to get me for possession of marijuana because of the resin in my bowl.
The good cop says, "Well, we can already get you for possession, so you might as well tell us where you got the alcohol." I said, "But, I don't have any weed on me." He said, "Well, ya got the resin here in this pipe." I said, "Okay. I'll just tell the judge."
I only know one cop that's cool, and that's because he's my big brother's friend, he's the ONLY black cop on our force, and he used to have some HUGE smoking sessions when he was in high school. He told me that if he ever caught me doing anything like drinking or smoking weed or whatever, he'd probably just laugh, say hey, then let me get on my way.
So, I think it's justified that I say PIG every time I see a cop car that isn't his.

I don't think it's fair to have a problem with police. They are preventing crime, which is usually a good thing. Sure, some of them are pricks, but every group of people has pricks, it's not just cops.

Cops here don't have much respect for people here. One of our school cops ask me for drugs in front of one of my classes. He somehow found out I sold some shit and since my bro got arrested for possesion, thought that hed come bother me in class. He thought it was all fun and games. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about and that if he wanted he could talk to me outside of class. This guy is a complete dick and shit.
I totally understand about keeping drugs out of schools, which I support, but think that outside of school, if you are a respectful teen that isn't a complete loser than you should receive leniancy(sp?). What the hells wrong with a kid smoking some grass by himself not causing any problems?

I live in a small town in Ontario Canada so the cops here are all members of our community. They are decent folks who are keeping the town safe for our kids to grow up in. I respect them for that.
We just had our first officer shot and killed here last year and it has strengthened the ties between our cops and community.
If you break the law you take what comes with it no matter where you live.
They are not supposed to be like a friend to you then.
But, I know the reality in some areas is unnecessary harrassment, just not here where I am.

i live in taylorsville which is outside salt lake city. it used to be policed by the salt lake county sheriffs but lately the city of taylorsville got itself a new police force so now this place has pigs fucking everywhere looking to bust people so they can fund their pussy ass force.

Most cops are usually cool, but they have to be dicks, it's their job, i mean im sure some are just natural assholes, but that goes with everybody, but in minnesota, most of them are pretty cool. Part of the cool part is that there's not that much crime in Minnesota, except for in Minneapolis/St. Paul...
although i still get nervouse when ever i see a cop/ cop car, just natural for me
