Winter Grow - Indica Mix
Well I'm shook out Shov. Haven't been into many forums of late... apart from work. Not growing this season has been a real downer and the thought of not growing next season is an even bigger downer. LOL I'm learning to live with it though and beginning to enjoy seeing what other people are doing.
Damn hard not planting though, plant care was a part of my daily routine and it's been hard finding something as rewarding to fill the gap.
I hope winter is being kind to you.

I water to water to try and warm up the soil in the bags and buckets, it's been cool here. I just received AN Overdrive to add for week 6, 7 and beyond, if necessary. I warmed water to 75 degrees and hoped that the plants could use a watering/feeding of Overdrive. Basically, the cool temps slow down the plants and I was only able to lightly water in some Overdrive into the afghani crosses and the bubblegum. The Ceril's Haze and the Afghani Dream X BOG Medley X will have to dry out a little more before I water and feed Overdrive.
It's five and a half weeks into bloom the (9) afghani Xs are in 3 gallon bags and are very healthy with an even canopy. They are dropping a normal amount of fan leaves for the strain. The (2) Afghani Dream X in 3 gallon bags, are very wet and have moved to the warmest part of the grow area. One Bubblegum is doing great and seems very similar to the afghani x strain. The (5) Ceril's Haze are healthy but a little slow. They and the afghani dream have not dropped many fan leaves in the last week.
I am heating the grow area off light hours and a little less when the lights are on to keep canopy temps below 85º.

I'm at the end of week 6 and the trics on all the top buds are ripe to the way I like them. Mostly cloudy with 10-30% clear and some ambers. I plan to go ahead with my week seven watering and feeding with carbs, and Overdrive only. I'll keep an eye on all the trics on the tops and hopefully I can start to water only next time they dry up. I'm also going to remove the 400 w HPS for now.
These strains have previously gone 8-10 weeks and even 12 once. Inspite of the cool soil temps (60-65º) everything is coming to a close. The few seeded bracts I see are very new and soft and green. Any input, folks?

Love the purps. Why you ditching the 400? Canopy heat that bad? Shitty if you gotta lose that so close to the end. Or am I missing something?

I don't need it. I have another 400 plus 216 watts of T5 florescent and the area is only 4' x 3'. I added a 750 w space heater to bring up the soil temps and I am returning the extra 400 I borrowed.
Purple doesn't impress me unless it's a killer purp strain. A purple pheno of most strains isn't anything special. I like the hashy or the gold tasting phenos, usually not purple.

I just like the color purple. I guess I was thinking with the quantity you had a little more space. Looking good, even the green ones!
Would a four tray seedling heating mat be enough for the soil? Hella cheaper to run.

Most folks love colorful plants and nuggets. Purple is super popular.
Well I have six pails and eleven grow bags. That's a good idea to make a mat to cover the grow floor (the floor is 6" off the ground at the moment.) I just have to finish this grow another week or two at most. I'll come up with something by next Winter.
