My Loss of Faith

I love Albert's quotes!
But don't some Atheist's hold on to the possibility of a god but without proof they don't believe? I would consider myself one that hopes I would one day have what I need to believe in something like a god, until then I try just to be healthy and as good natured as I can to myself and others.

I wondered why there was a spiritual area on this site and figured it could do without it, but even with all the arguing one thing on a small level happens...people express how they feel and what they believe. It can either solidify another readers existing beliefs or make someone further question life. Either way your still on a journey of self discovery which is in itself cool IMO

Atheists do not hold on to a possibility that god is real. I believe Agnostic is what you mean.

I don't think Einstein was an Atheist, or an Agnostic. His belief was more like a Buddhist's (or more correctly like a Taoist).

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism. ~ Albert Einstein

I believe American Indian spiritualism is also much like what Einstein describes.

Since Einstein clearly did not believe in your god, he is most likely speaking figuratively there. Einstein not only did not believe in a personal god but made an effort to "express it clearly"

Than who or what was he talking about when he made all of those quotes? Your trying to say he didn't mean GOD, when he clearly stated GOD in most of the quotes. Quit trying to turn these around like usual. HE SAID WHAT HE SAID!

Let me say this AGAIN! Albert Einstein CONCEDES to a creator! NOT neccassarily ANY type of religions!

Although never coming to belief in a personal God, he recognized the impossibility of a non-created universe. The Encyclopedia Britannica says of him: "Firmly denying atheism, Einstein expressed a belief in "Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the harmony of what exists." This actually motivated his interest in science, as he once remarked to a young physicist: "I want to know how God created this world, I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts, the rest are details." Einstein's famous epithet on the "uncertainty principle" was "God does not play dice" - and to him this was a real statement about a God in whom he believed. (quoted from another website)

It's obvious that Einstein believed in a creator. A creator of everything we see. and that is what I believe (to an extent). The only thing is that I believe GOD is the sole "creator" of all these things. Which is totally true. Science is merely the work of GOD.

1) I never said Einstein was an Atheist, to the contrary. I believe his "god" belief was akin to the Taoist "god" belief.

2) Even if Einstein did believe in a creator, he didn't believe in yours. He was the smartest man ever you said, but he was wrong about that?!?

3) I never said I was an Atheist. I am, however, most certainly not a believer of the god presented in the Bible, Torah, and Koran. I do not believe in a personal god or a creator, but I am close to Taoism in my personal philosophy.

4) My agenda here is not to work Atheist tactics on this board. I began by expressing my non belief in GOD, and have been dealing with your trolling ever since.

Your troll tactics are not working. You can't upset me, because I don't believe you take any of this seriously. You troll for a reaction and are thrilled when you get one, even if it makes you look stupid. If you don't care about your troll persona, why should I?

I think what it really all comes down to is, Who supports their opinion more? You have NO answer to the creation of the universe, or what was before it. I DO in fact! and I have came up with WAY MORE points to support my opinion rather than yours. You even said it yourself "I don't know" cuz thats right...
