a little somthing that came to light for me yesterday. the number of deaths from this flu in mexico was at 120, cases were at 2500. this was on a world map showing all the countrys, but mexicos numbers i noticed had these little tiny astricks next to them wich read 120 deaths: 17 confirmed, 103 suspected . 2500 cases 135 confirmed the rest suspect. so the acual number of cases and deaths are far lower than from what ive seen on my tv.
information is from thursday april 30 edition of the Advocaate. this is the baton rouge news paper.
swine flu no worse than regular flu, say US officials.
lol. go figure.

Knew it....
Well... seems to have been a big hype... again... at least with respect to the actual flu. I know there are some Finns quarantined in a hotel in Hong Kong still, and you probably heard about all the preparations all the countries were making (Killing all the pigs in Egypt really gets me...).
But, perhaps the media and governments were acting with the public's best interests in mind. Trying to warn us of the dangers in advance so we can go buy Tamiflu, and preparing for mass quarantines and shutting down cities, like they did in Mexico City. :wtf:
# CNN Story Highlights
# Swine flu getting focus, but so far it's not deadly in United States
# Since January, more than 13,000 have died of complications from seasonal flu
# Worldwide annual death from the flu estimated between 250,000 and 500,000
# About 9 out of 10 flu deaths are among people older than 65
I love the way the goverments have some folk acting like chickens minus thier heads.
