hi Shovel, thanks for stopping by hehe.. I blame the camera for not giving the sharpest definition its resolution should allow!!Quote:

Congrats on the girl!
looks like the other whitewidow is definately male, i almost took it out but i decided to give it another week and see if it changes its mind hehe.

ok guys so a quick update, I've managed to diagnose 3 problems with my female WhiteWidow plant! for some reason the male seems pretty healthy hehe.
1. Overwatering causing droop and dry leaves, reduced uptake of water, nutrients
2. Overnuting, yellow tip burn on all leaves. Fixed by reducing nutes and giving more water to flush. It has worked well.
3. PH, the PH was a bit too acidic, I'd overdone it with the phosphoric acid it seems.. was sitting at somewhere between 5-6.5 (orange PH). Solved with starving it off water for a few days and using PH 7 nutes and PH 7 water.
4. Lighting, the HPS lamp was a bit hot for the plants and they were overtranspirating this made the leaves curl up. Fixed by LST'ing my plants.
5. Stunted growth/slowed growth due to the above.
6. Carelessness, if I had been more careful LST'd to start, been careful with the nutes and watered down PH corrections and tested soil inbetween I wouldn't be in this situation.
teehee, almost seems like im better at identifying problems than growing hahaha.
I include some pictures to affirm everyone following my log as to my progress :) note the LST, thats all one plant :) and the last pic is the pic of the MALE and me experimenting with a harsh LST to see how it behaves hehe
Peace,
Denial
still lookin good despite the problems
not a bad operation going on there. i will check in to see how this goes
Denial,
Heya brotha, I wondered what happened to you after your old log! Figured you probably got way blitzed and forgot your password or something.
Good to hear from ya again, and thanks for the rep. Seems you've got your hands full with the new setup, but I think you'll really dig that cooltube when you get everything else exactly where you want it. Air cooling my lights was one of the best decisions I ever made, and really made worlds of distance being able to get the lights so much closer to the plants. I wish ya the best with yours!
Not around quite as much as I was, but I still lurk around the boards from time to time. New job hasn't been leaving me much free time for message boards, or my favorite hobby. With the economy in the shape that it's in, though, ya never know... I might have the opportunity to get back into the swing of things sooner than expected.
Be good, chief!
hey mr clandestine, thanks for dropping by, no worries with the rep, you've helped me out so much before with my other log.Quote:

New setup is going good, practically 90% of the seeds germinated, (only 1 didn't) woohoo!

heres an update to let you guys know how my grow is doing. Notice I've repotted the whitewidow into a 40litre, it is just a bit fussy with the PH, repottings helped a big deal.
Let me know what ya think homies,
