Nature is the true bible, Earth our true god, death, the true son of god.
the sun, our god's god, the unvierse, heven.
When we die, we return to the earth, and some day, when the earth is in the final days of it's life, it too will return to heven and conjoin withit's god at the center of the galaxy where thecycle starts anewwith new lessons to learn and new people.

So, Daal. Are you an israelite? And if so hows it feel up there on your soap box?
To the best of my knowlege I'm not one of the chosen in any way and so I'll be punished for the sins of some unknown forefathers just because I had the misfortune to exist. Well if all this is the will of god then wasn't it his will that the israelites be enslaved in the first place?
And once they get their comupance and reign over us all will the cycle start again? Is that all the earth has to look forward to? An endless cycle of slaves and masters, is that gods plan for his children?
I guess every kid has his favorite toys huh.
Also how can anyone be so sure that their ancient collection of dusty papers is the right one, the one signed off on by the almighty? The bible, the torrah, the koran, the rig veddah (spelling?), the book of mormon, scientology, im sure there are many others that i'm woefully unaware of.
So i'm sure i can look forward to another of daal's longwinded posts to show me how wrong i am, but i think i'll live my life the same as i always have.
And just because i disagree with you doesn't mean i don't care about ya. Peace all. :D

Just because a bunch of manipulative Romans wrote about god and jesus doesnt mean a lick of what they wrote is true or even in proper context to true reality.
I do believe the bible is useful when taken with a grain of salt, but not when it is promoted as absolute truth. could you PLEASE scale it back a bit daal? im sure you have a lot going on in your mind, but if you cant convince us with anything other than the bible, then you have NOTHING more to say.

first stalin was the anti-christ... then hitler... then saddam... now obama... i guess if people keep calling someone the anit-christ they are hoping to eventually get it right one time.
the entire book of revelation was not even originally accepted as scripture when the first unified Bible was decided upon... so the bible was made and then awhile later they were like... yeah lets throw it back in... even if i believe the bible i would probably have some strong doubts as to the wisdom of building theology off a book that didn't even make the first cut and had controversial authenticity.
that is just me though... i respect anyone's right to believe what they would like.

This is how I see it as well. What did the Isrealites do that they deserved their slavery? Now that they've been punished, they deserve to be on top again so they can have everyone else be their slaves? Then after that they will be slaves yet again because of the way they treated those who were being punished?
Why not do something to try and get us all to become one? Punish those who are evil and save those who are righteous? I'm a man who has love for all people. I see how the people in power are blind to the kind of suffering they cause and have no remorse because of it. Yet since there is nothing I can do about how they treat people, I'm suppose to be punished for it?
If God was all knowing, surely he would know of a better way to lead his people. Not by punishing them with cruelty and slavery.
I have some Native American ancestory. So does that mean I am saved? Although, that's only 12,000 of each tribe. So I could still be part of the righteous that are forced into a life of being treated cruel not because of coincidence, but because God thinks I deserve it.
When it comes down to it, the Bible was created by man. So how much of it is fully Gods word and not already interpreted only to be re-interpreted by someone like yourself?

First of all I am a former Christian who is very well versed in scripture so i believe I am qualified to answer this question.
I read in an earlier post that there was 1 antichrist. This is simply not true. Read the following passage from the book of 1 John and the Christian new Testament as a backdrop:

Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichristâ??he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised usâ??even eternal life.
I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. A few highlights from this passage:
1. "many antichrists have come"
2. regarding them, "They went out from us"
3. "It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichristâ??he denies the Father and the Son." It tells us plainly that there are many antichrists and then defines how to tell who the antichrist is, the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ. (Christ mean anointed one)
4. " I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray."
5. "This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us." Paul thought it was the last days because there was such a falling away from the faith, this was due to a group of people that was arguing against Jesus as Christ. This is WHO Paul defines as the Anti-Christ.
So, Anti-Christ is a position regarding the person of Jesus of Nazareth, and also a person who attempts to draw you away from belief that Jesus is the Christ. Will there be political and religious leaders who are enormously successful in leading people away from Christ? Absolutely. This may come a surprise to the reader, but those who do so are often doing so because of solid moral objections firmly grounded in rationalism.
As a former minister I spent an enormous amount of time in the bible during that 12 year period of my life. I was forced through the reading of scripture to dismiss it as full of internal contradictions and immorality imposed upon God. As one who does believe in God (I would classify myself as a Deist Agnostic) I see the words and actions attributed to God in the Torah (Leviticus & Deuteronomy especially) as blasphemy.
While I agree with a large portion of the teachings of Jesus, he links himself inexorably to the Yahweh of the old testament and his laws. Taking these laws and new testament prophecies literally would result in horrors that go far beyond the horrors of radical Islam. They have in the past and unrestrained, they will again.
So, in regards to "THE Anti-Christ" as opposed to "Anti-Christs". I dismiss the new testament as myth, so I do not interpret it literally or believe that it has magical, future telling prophecies.
So, I never thought I would say this, but I am Anti-Christ by the biblical definition in 1st John. I see it as the only moral position in regards to Christianity since Christianity has so much immoral baggage and contradictions with morality and science.
