I'm vary closely related to Jacques Cartier, the first European to penetrate the continent and first person to use the word Canada to name it. My great maternal grandma who is still alive still has the last name Cartier, my maternal grandma would too but she got married.
Only "famous" person I know of so far that I'm related too.
