IMHO Money is not the big thing, not an end unto itself.
Financial stability is a healthy goal, sure; I would like to think, however, that a job's best reward is a sense of accomplishment at the end of the week.
The highest-paying jobs are not necessarily the most rewarding.
Manwhore.......I at least earn a dollar meal a day at Micky D's.:D

To answer your question, I work for a broadcasting company that has buisness all over the country. I work an -average- of 50 hours a week so there's always overtime.
A weak guess would be 30k a year. maybe more, maybe less.
It's not a career but I'm fine until I finish school.

I don't believe money will buy happyness, but I do think it will help. I mean most divorices are due to money problems. I don't need to be rich, but I do want to be "well off", and I think that a solid understanding of money and finances will help me achieve that even if I don't make 6 figures......which is possable in finance carrers.
