Isn't "the son" Jesus? The holy ghost being what I described above. Of course according to the holy trinity theory, all 3 are manifestations of the same entity anyway.Quote:

:asskick:I would rather read the Holy Bible (which is very interesting by the way, and one really needs to read it before commenting on it in any way...so borrow your mom's credit card and buy Hooked on Phonics and check it out) than continue reading this thread...and I am a Buddhist! Egads! I am throwing a stick of dynamite into the "room" and jumping out of the window. If you are wise you will follow me and not return...I have some lavatory grafitti to catch up on...but I am just a giant invisible guy from nowhere who cannot be trusted. So smack me!:beatdeadhorse:
Um, that would be the SON. Try again!Quote:

Imagine there is a book about a man's life, set in 1820s New York. The adventures and scrapes he gets into demonstrate certain moral, legal, and philosophical principles. Almost 100% of the events depicted are possible in the context of a man living in 1820s New York (Yeah, I know what some are thinking. But the stuff in the Bible is possible in the context of an omnipotent being). Some old people say their grampa knew the guy personally, and when the book was written in 1856 some newspaper articles have quotes from people claiming to know the guy from the book.
However, no one has ever found any living descendants, or dug up his grave or found any papers or effects that actually belonged to him. Now ask: Is the book a biography or a novel? Well, it's really a very moot point to everyone except the ones who believe that he WAS a real guy and their grampa REALLY DID know the guy. It may give them a sense of comfort to believe their grampa wasn't just yanking their chain all that time. And if the guy killed someone for whistling an irritating tune, and the book says that everyone who whistles irritating tunes should be killed, and someone reading it kills someone else after reading that, it's not the fault of believing it was a true book.

Did you read the scripture I shared with the comment? Jesus is claiming to be present when people that believe in his name gather together. How can jesus the "son" be present if he's not physically there with the believers that are gathered?
Jesus is claiming that he is present with them in Spirit cause he is the Holy Spirit.
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost".....
"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."
If I told you that I had Jesus in my heart, I would not be implying that I have Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They are one and the same.Quote:

Thanks for posting!
First of all, I think the thread title should NOT have been changed. We should have freedom of expression. Especially on the internet. You have now expressed his title in a different way. But if you're gonna change something he wrote, you should be consistent.Quote:

Seriously people way back when jesus was alive were stupid. The Bible is nothing more than the ramblings of crazy men put into words....jesus also was a crazy man. I mean what if someone were to ramble on nowadays and say they were the son of god.....how many people would believe them? It was alot more believable back in 20AD, so sure he gained a bunch of followers who then taught it to their kids, and so on, and so on until u get the plague we have today.
The title was changed by a mod who found it offending. There are rules to abide by, and that title was breaking those rules.Quote:
