that's the point of the restraining order tho.. i definately don't think it should be the only saftey, but it definately needs to be done.... it'll get him locked back up... which with his record atleast as it sounds, i'm sure the judge will have no problem locking him back up...

Firstly, as previously stated, get a restraining order on him. Then go buy a 12 gauge shotgun/and or a 357 magnum. If he shows his face around, remind him ONCE that hes under a restraining order, After that one warning, if he doesnt want to vacate, fire a shot into the ground as a warning shot. If that doesnt dissuade him, bust a cap in his bitch ass.

EDIT: if you couldnt bring yourself to kill him, buy a .22 pistol. Thats small enough to make someone think twice before fucking with you. They sell ratshots for those that would be a nice deterrent for the first shot.

Buy a good shotgun, it is much less of an investment (a couple hundred bucks) and more likely to work when you need it. There are also less restrictions to buy them, and you can use it for hunting or whatever if you decide to. For your parents, buy a BB gun. Take off the little orange thing, and you have an (apparent) deadly weapon. It's completely safe, though.
