The Iraqis (with the exception of a few hundred on our payroll) want us out. they showed that this weekend, with tens of thousands in the streets shouting American occupiers go home, can you get it, they don't want us there, so lets leave. Fuck the corporations, let Blackstone protect their interests. Those guys are getting 100K+ a year to risk their lives, GTF out now!!!!
Again I ask .... what about prisonplanet that lack credibility? ....site something ... :wtf:Quote:

And what the hell does all this rhetoric have to do with the thread topic?Quote:

All U.S. (probably worldwide) media lacks credibility. Doesn't matter if it's PrisonPlanet, Fox News, or someone in between. It's all about the $. The truth is rarely as exiting as the 1/2 or 1/4 truth, in fact it's usually rather boring. Boring doesn't sell newspapers, get viewers, or hits on a website and, more importantly, boring doesn't sell advertising space. So, these "truthful" stories are carefully crafted to get the desired audience's attention, keep it, and lead them to believe whatever the particular media source, and their sponsors, want them to believe. Some people will look at that news, call "bullshit" and leave, but for many others the hook will be set. Then that specific media source just keeps feeding the same crap out and it's audience eagerly eats it up.Quote:

Sure, it's the "truth" but like I mentioned above, it's a truth that's been carefully crafted to give it exactly the kind of spin they want it to have.
Take, for example, any story that starts out "Expert in the field states that.....". Now, it doesn't really matter if they contacted 1000 "experts" in the field and only one, the guy who was recently diagnosed with schizophrenia and generally considered a crackpot in his field, agreed with what they wanted to hear. They just don't mention the other 999 experts. Technically, it isn't a lie. The truth is they found an "expert" that told them what they wanted. Right???
But hey, believe what you want. What right do I have to tell you to take off the tin-foil hat.
Fengzi also a lot of these experts are paid for their view so u have to take things with a grain of salt.People have there own agenda and alot of the time money is usually behind every agenda.Im not saying everything at prison planet is bullshit BUT alot of it is designed for the soo called outer fringes of sociaty.I remember january 1 2000 was suppose to be the end of everything that we know of .People were predicting total caouse and a lot of people bought security sheltors and land in the woods and basicly believed some of the hype that some media types were spewing out.So take everything with a grain of salt and be well informed ................peace
Exactly fishman!! You get it  Whether the "experts" are being paid, have their own agenda, or are simply nuts doesn't matter. The media will still pull them out of thew woodwork to back up their stories. Maybe I'm just cynical, but I have come to distrust pretty much anything the media says, certainly the more sensationalistic stuff. If you weren't there yourself, you can never know what really happened.Quote:
