hi guyses, looks like i went to bed too early...
hi hemlock!! you should stop by more often...
and my darling bear in gleaming armour... for undying faithfulness and loyalty through service, i shall award you with a bag of beans on christmas:) you bet babe!
but, i need to know how to pollenate 1 branch without contamination. all the seeded bb's are larger than sage now. i'll have an awesome yeild, thanx to those who care:):)
glad your room is goin well, and i'd love to know the tricks used to break the 1g per watt theory.
the socket is on a 8' wire from the ballast. little bit of mcguivering. maybe i can get a bulb today:)

Thanks for the love. To do the one branch, or one particular area, brush the polin on the desired area and then cover with plastic rap for about 24 hours then like GK said you could then mist that part and dry it. He said with a blow dryer, just blow away from the other sights just in case. That should work.
Did you use the link that I posted to that wireing diagram not to long ago?
Don't go electricuting your self.
I don't think Brook would be to happy.
Luvs you, Adieu

KP,I just used a plastic bag like groceries come in,I put the collected pollen in the bag and taped it to a branch of mature flowers and shook it and left it in place for 2 or 3 days.I then removed it carefully and then a few weeks later I had seeds.Starlighter in Spain

hi guys,
i tried the brush thing... i hope i didn't screw up...
but if i did, it'll be a good christmas to all of my cb friends:)
the diagram you sent was outstanding bear. i am now a ballast wiring expert. the 400w sun is burning bright and i spent an hour and a half just looking at it with sunglasses on (and my bubbler of course...:)) I LOVE YOU BEAR:):):)
well, i think i over pollenated the box. i saw pollen flying off when i first used the brush :( oh, well... that's what they make clones for
i'm in such a good mood, you'd be proud bear, i wish i had a cam...
by the way, this pic of my friend in the av was an accident... i've just been too lazy to change it but, tonite...
well, i gess i'll stay around for awhile and see if anyone is out tonite:)

Hi princess!
Now thats a differnt avitar. Glad to hear your wiring class worked well. On a different subject, I bought a cheap Oust! fan deoderizer from Lowes the other night (less than 7$). So far, I am Very impressed.

I am so sad, I missed you tonight, sniffle. Well, I am happy never the less that the bird has spread her wings and will bring up your little ones. I think that you will be pretty impressed to see the difference in the rate of growth, but at the same time you do have a gaggle of CFL's that prob rivle the 400, but it is nice to make the first step to a HID and not always have to try to prop all of the little ones 1 inch away from the CFL and hope that none bumped their heads over night and got an ouwy.
Your terms of endearment mean allot to this young old timer. Well, about the polin thing, it is in the name of science and love, and I am glad that your staying up beat about it.
Well, put on a smile for those around you and share your sunshine.

Love your Avatar Princess. Your freind was cute but I do love me some fractals!! Many nights were spent tripping out on the neverending patterns.
I need some pollen...anyone know if it is safe or possible to send pollen via mail?
BTW, KP it is getting to be too long now with no pics??? :( :cursing: Are you paranoid like me to post up pics???? I admit it...I am tired of imagining sage and her yummy friends. You can get a disposable digi cam.
I will overnight one to you if you would like? It will come directly to your door. If it isn't an issue of paranoia that is.:D
Don't I remember that you are not into purchasing anything online?
I have pics for y'all to look at but I have never heard any talk on the subject.
Take care love and give Sage and your girls some love.

paranoia...can't live with it, go to jail without it... thanx for the disposable idea, but i havent found any...sorry guyses:(
jay, i don't know if pollen stays viable via mail, but if you can find out the particulars, then i can make a hush mail account...btw, what r u growing, jay?
well, guys, i gess i get a new av again today, nobody likes this one...
and last, but certainly not least.......
my darling bear... the bird works wonderfully:) getting a little hot in the box, but i'm getting another fan tonite... wow, i stayed up almost all night, just watching. then i fell asleep in my rocker, right in front of them (so embarassing~blushes~) so i was a co2 generator for a few hours...
the hps lights about 2/3 of the box, about half of it well, so i left the cfl's in there, but i got an idea last night...
ok, a ballast makes the power in the form the bulb needs, so, you therefore have a supply going to the bulb. this supply shoulb be the same, wether you have one bulb on the ballast or two...
i've never heard of anyone trying, but i'd like to, if you guys approve... maybe we can learn to save some $$ by having more than one lamp to a ballast...
and yes, the cfl's do rival the hps, but i soooo love the hps colour;)
n e way, if i can figure this out, i'll replace 400w of cfl's with one more hps:)
and bear? didn't you say that you wanted some blueberry jelly beans for x-mas? i do believe you'll get your wish:) do you think we can help jay out? i know nothing of the subject, but....
well, love you guys, love you bear:)
see you after awhile

Sorry to hear about the clone mixe up, I would just watch them close when you flip them over to 12-12. Keep an eye on the taller ones, the nice and robust and husky like a big old BlueBear I mean blueberry.

Computer problems so I didn't get to finish. The mails usually get to be taller than the ladies so when they drop their polin it can be caried by grav to the ready and willing future baby mommas.

ne opinions on a bubble cloner, how to make one, etc?
-
the complex questions of a perplexed noob
Hey little lady, hugs,,,...
The smoking may be a problem. MJ plants can contract the Mosaic tobacco virus fairly easy, you will know by a bending of the leaves kind of like they are trying to turn a little bit inside out. Doesn't stop them from producing, but does stress them. Smoking in general around your plants is not good. The smoke clogs the stamodda, bad spelling, the Stamodda are like the plants lungs on the leaves that allow O2 and CO2 to be absorbed and exhaled by the plant along with the dissipation and retention of needed and un needed bi products from water and nutes.
Well that is the lesson for today I will check in later.

i don't expose them much, maybe a whif a day or so... growth is excellent, it's just my current cloning condition...
bb is giving me a hard time... i read about this a few months ago, but disregarded as i had 100% strikes the first time...

That is a whick cloner and they do work, but I know more people use the bubble cloners or the aero cloners. I think that there are a few DIY's on here on how to make one, but never the less I will explain.
You get a Tupperware that is about 10x10 and put about 10 to 20 1 inch holes in the lid for 1 inch net pots to go in which your RW cubes and clay pellets would sit in. You drill a small hole in the side for a air tube to be able to fit in. You get a $10.00 air pump from Wally World and a $1.75 air stone or two and then just drop the air stones in and run the air lines into the little air pump and plug in, after you fill with water. I think you could build the whole thing for about $25 give or take probably less. Once everything is going the air stones will make small oxygenated bubbles that splash the bottom of your pellets and RW cubes and give them small amounts of aerated water and it is a quick process from everything that I have read. I need to use mine here shortly because I am trying to find a lower maintenance way of cloning. With the bubbler, you should be able to go without the dome or misting. Without misting clones will root quicker because they do not need to feed off the mist from their leaves so they strike out roots quicker.
Hope this helps explain it.

No I haven't herd of it, but I use something a little simular and it works wonders. Perhaps try it on a few and see how they do. With those kind of products you should see a noticeable change in a few days IMO if they are good.
With the one I use "Messenger" I do a treetment and the next day they look like I shot them up with some royds.
Let me know how it go's Little One. Bear hugs from theBlue

bear, i am ecstatic!!!!
first let me say i will experiment with this product as i have info stating the usefulness for my purpose.
next, sage is getting choped down soon, like 2 or 3 days. she realy, REALY stinks. i'm upstairs, she's downstairs, and i smell her like i've got resin on my hands!! can't wait. also, she hermied on one bud site so gess what? i got sage seeds!!!! about 10 of em:)
got a sage2 pollenated by bb. pollen took, hairs prove this:) hybrid:D
bb's are loving the hps. and they thank you everynite, bear:p
now, the REAL news!!!!
my brother and i went to a fleamarket today to kill some time and get out of the house. (i got a new pet peacock!!:)) whilst walking through the ghetto section (the back side where they put all the drunks) i came across some HUGE HONKIN LIGHTS!!!! further inspection showed them to be 400w mh lights, like the kind lowe's uses (not the ones they sell) after speaking with the drunk guy who had the table, i found that we had a few common interests:) he let me have 2 of these (fixture and all(fix HAD to go; to darn big to fit in my room!!)) for 40$!!!!
i ripped everything apart and set it up as a remote mh (i have no ignitors and can't get any until tomorrow) and i'm about to put a temporary plug on them to see if they work. the components look new, so i'm not worried. the guy gave me a deal, bc he knows whats up, that's why he's got them in the first place; he just switched to 1000w.
you must have been watching over me, you angel of a bear, or bear of an angel, lol. i cannot believe the luck! i'm still waiting to wake up!
~hypotheticle question~
can you use one ignitor for 3 ballasts? i don't think you can, but if you could, i'd be in biz!!
i gess you'll either be happy for me, or upset for the favor you did for me. i hope it is the first; i love the fact that you went out of your way for me. i'll be forever in your debt, and forever lovingly grateful!;)
thanx again and again, bear, love you loads, babe!!!
love, kp:p
